As soon as you asked that, his breathing changed, as if she had said something he didn't want said
After a while, he finally spoke, "You'll find out later..."He had said those four words with so much sadness, she couldn't help but lift her head to see what was wrong
You saw his eyes flicker to you then back to the sky, then he pulled you back down and spoke, "One more night..." At that moment something speared through your heart, 'One more night!? What does that mean?!'
Before you could ask him, you found yourself remembering how his eyes flickered to you and then back to the sky...What had he seen in your eyes that made him unable to look at them?...
'Perhaps he had grown tired of you...An elf, not of the same kind, he had seen as a way to quell his boredom...'
That thought alone had fractured that dam in your mind, one you had never wished to feel or see again...one that reached so deep that not even the strongest arms in the world could drag you out of.
