You sighed quietly, you were growing impatient, how could these apprentices treat the teacher with so much disrespect? You're supposed to listen when they speak, not interrupt every five words...

"What do you think? You've been quiet so far, what do you think we should do?" Tolfdir asked, turning to you

"I think safety should be the first priority" You said, smiling, partly because of the groans of dismay from the other apprentices and because, unlike them, you actually respect and understand where Tolfdir is coming from

"Well, your classmates certainly don't feel the same way." Tolfdir said, shooting a subtle side eye, which only you caught, towards your classmates

"Continuing on the note of safety, we will be learning about wards, they are a magical shield that can protect you against magical attacks"

You paid close attention, you already knew all about wards, but you still wanted to hear what Tolfdir had to say

"Why don't you help me with this demonstration? Do you already know the lesser ward spell?" Tolfdir asked you

"I have the spell, and I know how to use it" You said, genuinely happy that you were asked to help with something you knew plenty about

Standing where Tolfdir pointed, you got your ward spell ready, and casted it

You smiled as Tolfdir congratulated you on your form. Tolfdir turned to the rest of the students and told them to practice their wards

"Why don't you get yourself acquainted with your classmates" Tolfdir said before walking off

You frowned, why did you have to speak with them? They were so disrespectful...

Sighing, you decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were just eager to learn.

Walking up to the Dunmer, Dark elf, You introduced yourself and she did the same, her name was Brelyna

Then you went to the nord, he was a bit younger than you, in human years, in elf years he would be a child compared to you. He said his name was Onmund.

"I'm not surprised I'm the only nord here..."

"I'm a nord...on my mother's side, which I take after most except for my ears and eyes"

"Oh! I'm sorry" He apologized and excused himself

Last was the Khajiit, J'Zargo

"Have you mastered master destruction yet?" He asked, not even saying hello

"No, not yet..." You weren't sure you ever would, you wanted to focus on restoration mainly

"J'Zargo will master it first," He said. It would seem he's very competitive...

"Well, I look forward to your progress" You said with as fake a smile you could muster

J'Zargo lost interest in you as soon as you showed no sign of competition

You walked away, groaning, how annoying...

"That was my reaction as well, when I met them" Ancano remarked as you walked toward him

"It's just...their so...disrespectful. They couldn't even let Tolfdir speak without interrupting" You said exasperatingly

Ancano was silent, studying you

"Sorry, sir. I shouldn't be speaking to you about this'' You apologized, formality suddenly remembered

"It's quite alright, I understand.'' He said, pushing off the wall he was leaning against. He beckoned you to follow, so you did

He lead you to a huge library called the Arcanaeum

You marveled at the sheer magnitude of knowledge packed within a single space

Following Ancano, you came across an Orc, he was the keeper of all this knowledge?

"Urag, I have a student that wishes to have access to all of the books in this library" Ancano said, using a more authoritative tone than he spoke to you with

"Alright, just don't ruin anything" He nodded, looking at you

"Of course I wouldn't! This is amazing!" You assured and looked around like a giddy child

You looked at Ancano, "Can I?" You asked, as if you needed his permission

He nodded with a smirk

"Thank you sir!" You called over your shoulder, already speeding off to one of the many, many book cases
