Y/n was with the small girls as they talked about how much tanjiro is working which y/n had to agree with.
Y/n left to go hang out with rengoku.
During the fifteen days later, y/n has been hanging out with the hashiras, helping out in the butterfly mansion, helping the helpers, talking with random slayers, and goes on missions with random slayers.
Y/n didn't like how kaigaku tried to take her away though.
Y/n was walking during the night and she decided to go talk with tanjiro. (No, shinobu didn't talk with him)
"Tanjiro?"
"Tanjiro?"
"Huh?"
"You're really working hard, huh?" Asked y/n.
Tanjiro just blushes due to the closeness, "Even when your two friends went somewhere else."
Y/n sat down asking, "Don't you feel lonely by yourself?" "Nope! Once I can do it, I'll teach them how!" Answered tanjiro.
Y/n turned to him with a gentle smile making him more red, "You are kind hearted and that's what I like about you." Then tanjiro asked, "Why did shinbou bring us here though?" Y/n just turns away with a monotone face back, "It was because they learned the truth about nezuko. And that your injuries were horrible. Also I talked to shinobu about it, too. She also wanted to entrust her dreams to you. About becoming friends with demons, but that wouldn't happen at all since demons hurt others no matter what."
Tanjiro looked to y/n as she looked to him.
"Are you a demon?" Asked tanjiro. Y/n just looked to him, as he continued while sweatdropping, "Even though you looked like human, you always smell like a demon. But i know you wouldnt hurt others since you could've done that eariler." Y/n only sighs and nods saying, "Well then. You could say that I'm a demon. But as a demon, I tent to not my emotions to others in fear of letting them know of me as a demon. But from what I saw in glimpses of my past. I saw through three different girls. The first girl was kind-hearted like you. The second girl is the rude one. The third final one was a girl with a bamboo muzzle and is with a older brother. I didn't think this would happen though."
"But it tires me of pretending that I have emotions in me. Tanjiro, I want you to protect my friends and family for me."
That was y/n's final words before leaving. —--------------------------------------------------------- Memory/flashback —--------------------------------------------------------- Y/n was sent on a mission to a village to save a little girl from being experimented on by random demons.
So, y/n left and ran to the village in a hurry.
After killing at least 10 demons. She heard a scream and the last demon saying, "Oi! Come back here or least I'll kill you myself!" Y/n only sighed and ran to the noises.
Once she reached there, she saw the demon about to attack the child. Y/n came up from behind and slashed at the demon's head. Y/n caught the child before they fell on their butt.
Y/n stood up and left the place. She puts down the child then asked, "Hey, are you okay? Do you have family?" The child puts a frown saying, "I... I have no idea! I am okay, though..." Y/n asked while crouching, "What's your name then?" The child begins to tear up, "I d-dont have a *hic* name due to being hurt by bed men." Y/n nods then thinks. "Well, your name will be c/n and I'll be the one to take care of you for now on, okay?" C/n smiled and hugged y/n shouting, "Th-thank you! Oka-san!" Y/n just pats her back. —--------------------------------------------------------- Memory/flashback #2 —--------------------------------------------------------- "Hey shinobu?" Asked a wounded y/n who's sitting on the bed with shinobu wrapping a bandage on her arm. "Hmm? Yes, n/n?" Questioned shinobu.
Y/n turned to her, "Are you angry?" Shinobu stopped wrapping the wounded arm and she looked up to y/n's face. "Well, I sorta guessed that you were angry because of something. And mostly because when we're on our missions.... you usually don't act like your kind self, so yea..." shinobu sighed and puts a sad frown.
"Well, you can say that I'm angry... so I'll tell you why I'm angry." Answered shinobu. Y/n just nods with a monotone face.
"Ever since a demon murdered my beloved elder sister... whenever I see a demon, or people whose loved ones have been stolen by demons. The anger in me grows deeper and stronger. Deep inside my body, there's hatred that I can't quiet. It's the same for the other hashira. Anyway, my sister was a kind person like you and tanjiro." Shinobu said while she continued to wrap the wounded arm.
"But she felt sympathy for demons. Even as she died, she pitied the demons. I couldn't think like her and him. Pity someone who kills people? Thats ridiculous. But if that was my sister's wish, then j must try to carry it out. If there's a way to avoid killing pitiful demons, I mist try to find it... without losing my sunny disposition, which my sister always liked. But... it really tires me out. Demons always lie to save themselves. Without reason, just on instinct, they kill people." Y/n puts a sad frown but puts back a blank face.
"I should go now thanks for listening to my story n/n," shinobu said while standing up. Before shinobu left, y/n said, "If so... don't end yourself getting there." Shinobu turned shocked and turned around to see y/n asleep. As on cue she still hears y/n say, "Your sister would want you to live, so live for her and kanao." Y/n just blankly sleeping as shinobu softly smiles thinking about her words. —--------------------------------------------------------- End of memory/flashback —--------------------------------------------------------- "Hey, y/n! You okay?!" Asked the Flame hashira. Y/n popped out of thought, then she answered, "Yes, yes, I am okay."
