Sifting of flour

Strainer against hand

Palm red from the rhythmic tapping

Flour, light and fluffy

Whisking of eggs

Collected fresh from the coop

Through the window you hear the chickens

They sing there song

Telling the whole world of the egg they laid

Ingredients mixed to dough

Dough set to bake

Warmth from the oven

Smell of fresh bread fills the air

Putting a smile on my face

The timer goes off

I open the oven

Hot steam fogs my glasses

I feel the warmth of the pan through the hot pad

The bread is set aside to cool

Cooling bread is cut

The loaf is light and fluffy

Perfectly made

Fresh jam is spread across the bread

Making the perfect snack
