15 : Corroded coffin

(Hope pov)

I looked at the clock that was mantled above the doorway.

It was 4:30

"Eds we have to go, you have a performance in and hour!" I said getting up.

I ran up to the bathroom and fixed my makeup so that I didn't look crazy at the hideout.

"Eddie come on!" I yelled at Eddie talking to Mike.

Eddie didn't hear me so I ran up him and grabbed his hand, grabbed the keys and drug him to the van.

"Why are you in such a rush?" He asked

"We still have to load up the instruments, you have to practice before going on stage, we have to set up the instruments, all in one hour!" I said

I don't like being late.

"Ok ok! I'm getting the guitar." He ran to his room and handed me the guitar.

He got the rest of the instruments and loaded them into the car and I got in still holding the guitar.

"Thanks for not putting it in the back." He said

I thought he was joking but he looked serious.

"I'm being for real, it's my... second true love!" He said while driving like a maniac.

Wait- second?

"Eds? You said second true love?" I said confused

"Yeah your my first, the guitar's my second." He said like it was obvious.

I started blushing and grabbed his hand.

He squeezed my hand and hit the brakes when we got there.

"How did you get your license?" I asked laughing.

"Go get Gareth and the rest of the guys to help me unload the van!" He said

I went behind stage and found the band

"Come on! Eddie needs help unloading the equipment." I said and they walked to the car to help Eddie.

I walked back

"What time is it?" I asked and Eddie looked at his watch

"5:00" he said

We only had a half an hour left.

"Hustle hustle hustle!" I yelled jokingly

"I'm tryin sweetheart! Okay? I'm goin as fast as I can while carrying a drum set!" He said

"Oh! Grab the guitar please!" He said

I grabbed the guitar and we set it up.

I handed him the guitar and he looked at his watch again.

"We have 15 minutes to practice, about 3 songs with the solos!" He said and everyone got ready to play.

Eddie signaled 3, 2, 1 with his fingers and they started playing master of the puppets by Metallica.

There was a guitar solo and Eddie played it flawlessly.

They were in the middle of another song and then out of nowhere the guitar stopped working.

Gareth and Jeff both asked Eddie what was happening and Eddie had no clue.

Jeff took his place while Eddie tried to figure out what happened backstage when Eddie yelled for the band.

He sounded surprised and worried too.

That worried me so I jumped on the stage and ran backstage and saw Jason and Eddie arguing and as soon as Jason saw me he stopped talking and stared at me.

"You! YOU FU**ING WH**E! You broke my nose and I bet your the reason Chrissy and me split."

That unleashed something in Eddie that I didn't know existed.

Eddie lunged at Jason who was staring by the edge of the stage.

"YOU SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO HER AGAIN AND ILL FU**ING MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL! I HOPE YOU GET HIT BY A FU**ING CAR ON YOUR WAY HOME" Eddie yelled at Jason while landing hit after hit on Jason's face.

By time Jason got up his fave was already swollen and busted up.

"NOW GET THE F**K AWAY FROM HOPE CAUSE I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU COME NEAR HER AGAIN OR SAY A SINGLE WORD ILL HURT YOU SO MUCH YOULL WISH YOU WERENT ALIVE!" Eddie yelled

Eddie walked off stage breathing heavily and trying to get more angry.

"Has he ever done anything like that before?" Jeff asked Gareth

"Not that I've ever seen... for as long as I can remember the most he's done to Jason was mock him." Gareth said

"Somebody should go calm him down, I'll tell everyone that the shows over due to... unexpected events." Jeff said

Me and Gareth looked at each other and I knew he wanted me to go.

I went in the same direction Eddie went and found him sitting against a tree smoking.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked in a soft voice trying not to upset him further.

"I guess, I just don't understand." He said

"Don't understand what?" I asked

"How every girl in the school likes him when that's how he treats girls... he's mainly nice ish to them but he called you that which he had no right at all doing. Nobody should call anybody that regardless of who they are or who they like or hang out with." He said then paused

"He called you that because we're dating, if you don't wanna I get it. You'll be mocked and bullied and people will talk about you behind your back and people will spread rumors that aren't true... because of me your life at school will suck." He said looking down

"Eddie I don't care about any of that stuff, I love you and I'm not gonna leave you just because some bullies think we're weird." I said

He smiled and then leaned in and kissed me.

"I'm glad you said that because I don't know what I would've done if you would've actually left me, I'd be a mess. Plus, it would've been the worst birthday I've ever had." He said smiling

I laid my head on his lap and he played with my hair.

"Goodnight sweetheart." He said while he drifted off to sleep.

I absolutely loved this part and I also love that Hope is the only one who can calm him down.

Do you guys think that Jason will leave Eddie alone when school starts or do you think he'll be more agitated?
