Chapter 10: For Two Lifetimes

"Oh my god. What am I going to wear?" was the first question Yu Xi Gu asked himself after knowing how Xiang Hao Ting was going to take him out on their 'first date'. He was still unable to believe the course of events but he was so happy that any and all anxiety just disappeared. He was so curious to see what Xiang Hao Ting had planned.

Meanwhile Xiang Hao Ting was getting so anxious and was pretty all over the place.

"Sun Bo Xiang, I need to make this the best date he's been on."

"I think first you need to calm down a bit. No, I think I need to calm down first." Sun Bo Xiang still was in a shock after hearing what had happened. He was happy for his friends but he had never thought that it'd really happen like this. But atleast now he could stop worrying about them and he was glad that finally they could figure things out on their own.

"Okay loverboy, you go make your preparations while I'm going to tell this to Zhi Gang ge...I can't wait to see his reaction. He'll be so happy for both of you definitely. I'm gonna go now."

Yu Xi Gu just made it in time as he was struggling with what to wear for almost the whole day. He saw Xiang Hao Ting's silhouette in the sunset and he just knew why he loved him so much. Yu Xi Gu slowly went up to where Xiang Hao Ting was standing. As he approached Xiang Hao Ting he was able to see that beautiful smile which Xiang Hao Ting didn't show much. Xiang Hao Ting was waiting for Yu Xi Gu with such anticipation that he was probably smiling to himself the whole time without realising. Yu Xi Gu just went and stood beside Xiang Hao Ting without saying anything. As Xiang Hao Ting turned his head around, he saw Yu Xi Gu staring at him. Yu Xi Gu had his goofy smile on so Xiang Hao Ting possibly couldn't hate what he was looking at.

"You'll really drill a hole in my head if you keep staring like that." Xiang Hao Ting softly flicked Yu Xi Gu's forehead to bring him back to his senses.

"Awww.... You were looking so cool though. Can't I admire my lover~?"
Yu Xi Gu purposely said in a singsong way. He just loves to get on Xiang Hao Ting's nerves.

"Don't make me regret." Xiang Hao Ting said sarcastically.

Yu Xi Gu caught up to Xiang Hao Ting and slowly held his hand. Xiang Hao Ting was surprised at this gesture, his heart beating loudly. He didn't say a word and just smiled lowering his head. He tightly held Yu Xi Gu's hand back and they continued walking.
The two people looked absolutely beautiful in the hue of an orange sunset. Xiang Hao Ting thought to himself that how lucky he was to find love even after everything that had happened. He was truly the happiest person in that moment. He was just so grateful for the fact that Yu Xi Gu's hand was in his. He could feel the warmth of the person he has always loved. He could now tightly hold his hand and never let it go ever again. He was never going to let Yu Xi Gu go away from him, for all and any selfish reasons he had.

"It's nice to walk like this. The weather is so also perfect today." Yu Xi Gu sighed satisfyingly.

"That's exactly why I called you here." Xiang Hao Ting mumbled in a small voice.

As the Sun set in the horizon, the sky became darker. "I'll get something for us to drink. Just sit and wait here." Xiang Hao Ting went to the vending machine as Yu Xi Gu sat on the bench and looked up at the sky.

Definitely the weather today was so nice. There were no clouds and the sky was looking beautiful with a bit of orange, blue and black. The stars were really very clearly visible today. That was when he figured out why Xiang Hao Ting would've asked him to come here.

"Here, the coffee you like and I'm going to have juice. Tell me if you want something else." Xiang Hao Ting came running back to where Yu Xi Gu was sitting.

"Xiang Hao Ting......" Yu Xi Gu said without turning his head, his voice shaking a bit. "Why are you so nice...?"

"It's just vending machine coffee though?"

"You knew I liked watching the stars right? Isn't that why you invited me out today?"

"So you found it out I guess....Yeah, you told me that on the very first day, remember?"

"I do! To think you had kept that in mind. Oh my god what if I fall harder for you than I have already fallen?! You need to stop being so thoughtful Xiang Hao Ting!" Yu Xi Gu was so was on cloud nine. He was living his dream right now.

"So, its nothing huge but I wanted to come here with you." Xiang Hao Ting said sitting down beside Yu Xi Gu looking up at the starry sky without any clouds. It was the first time in a while Xiang Hao Ting was able to appreciate something truly. He turned towards Yu Xi Gu.

"To tell you the truth I've always liked you ever since you came to talk to me. I just needed to give myself a little time."

"And now here we are."

Xiang Hao Ting looked into those clear eyes of the person in front of him. He could really only see the softness of those. He remembered how Yu Xi Gu looked at him the same way.

'I've always loved you. Ever since we first knew each other. You were always the only star in my sky. You promised to love me for your whole lifetime and now you've loved me for two. How will I be able to make up to you?'

"What are you thinking so hard?" Yu Xi Gu slightly giggled.

"I was just thinking how wonderful today is." After almost a minute's pause, Xiang Hao Ting continued. "Is it okay if I kiss you?"

Yu Xi Gu was taken aback a bit but he was happily surprised.

"You don't need to ask." Yu Xi Gu said smilingly and the next moment Xiang Hao Ting placed a gentle kiss on his lips, like Yu Xi Gu was the most precious person for him.

Yu Xi Gu could feel the affection from the kiss. He slowly closed his eyes. As Xiang Hao Ting kissed Yu Xi Gu, his heart felt weirdly satisfied. Like this was something he had always wanted to do for a long time. Tears rolled down his cheek because he was so incredibly happy. As Yu Xi Gu returned Xiang Hao Ting's kiss he vaguely saw two figures, just like them. Standing under the night sky, looking at each other. At that moment, Yu Xi Gu felt something deep inside his heart. He knew this feeling. He knew this happiness. He was confused and wasn't able to remember but he knew how this felt. As if he had loved Xiang Hao Ting for a much longer time. He smiled as the two figures in his mind disappeared holding each other's hands.

so finally the last chapter~~ this was what I originally had in mind and I'm so happy to see it end as I had wanted. Definitely Xiang Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu are the two closest characters to my heart...I'm sad to let them go. Hope y'all enjoyed reading it and also cried while remembering them haha
