They used to come here often for tutoring classes after all. Therefore, seeing Parker here was nothing new. This time, it was different though, because he was not expecting for Parker to come. They haven't seen each other in person for quite a while.

Kyle closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before turning around to face Parker, it was difficult to tell what he was thinking since he always wore a serious expression on his face. He would only smile whenever he really felt like it, but right now he didn't know how to feel. "Oh, hey." Was all he could say, the room falling into dead silence again.

Parker ignored the awkward atmosphere, and curved his lips into a smile. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to interrupt you."

"Don't worry about it." Kyle shook his head, burying a hand inside the pocket of his leather jacket. "What brings you here?"

"You told me you would be here, so I came to see you. I just wanted tell you a few things since we haven't seen each other recently." Parker paused for a moment, gulping down some dry saliva that was stuck in his throat before continuing, "Well, I was able to pass the exam to enter the music faculty. Which means that I just need to wait to get my printed results to finally become part of the faculty."

"Congrats, those are really good news." Kyle knew that Parker would be able to pass. He was a diligent young boy after all.

"This was all thanks to you, you know? If I didn't had a great tutor like you, then I would've probably failed." Parker scratched his nape nervously with a hand, while the other he kept it hidden behind his back.

Kyle felt his heart flutter just by listening to this. To be honest, he hasn't done much other than teach him how to play guitar, everything else was Parker's hard work and effort. Yet, there he was, feeling honored by this boy's words. Why did he had to fall so hard for him?

In the next moment, Parker pulled out of nowhere a tiny white box from behind his back. It looked like one of those boxes where you put jewelry. He handed it to Kyle before explaining, "This is for you. I made it myself to express how thankful I am towards you. I hope you like it since this is a limited edition made only by me."

Without hesitating, Kyle opened the tiny box to look at what was inside. His eyes immediately brightened, as if he was seeing something precious in front of him.

What was inside the box was a small and simple wooden guitar pick. Despite of it being handmade, it really looked exceptional and with good quality. He could tell that Parker spend hours shaping this wood into this tiny-little form. How adorable.

There was also something written on it. Kyle squinted his eyes to read it silently. 'K + P'

It wasn't a word, more like two initials with a plus sign in the center. It didn't took long for Kyle to realize the meaning of those two initials. Of course that it had to mean, 'Kyle + Parker'.

He could feel his ears reddening as they became hotter just by reading this. What the hell was wrong with him? Why was he so touched by this? It was just a wooden guitar pick with blue letters written on it, that were probably written with a marker. Why did he had to get so flustered?

Kyle was only able to come back to his senses after listening to Parker's voice again, saying, "Do you like it?" His voice was so soft! Gosh! This boy will drive Kyle insane one day. How can he be this adorable?

"Mhm, I do. This is so cute. Thank you." Kyle responded, trying to hold back a smile that was almost forming at the corners of his lips.

Parker's smile widened even more at his reply. He was relieved to know that Kyle liked his handmade guitar pick that took him a whole day to finish shaping. He hoped that Kyle would use it from now on to remember him whenever he plays his guitar.
