Ch 3 a red figure, and a plotting king.

Start from the beginning

Gilgamesh: honestly, I should've expected this place to be just as Disgusting as the surrounding area. a few tall buildings nearing the heavens don't equal any bit of interest in this day and age.

I remarked to myself as I strolled through the disgusting concentrated garbage bin of humanity called a town, hoping to elevate my boredom while Kirei was busy indulging himself with that 'mapo tofu' places he likes around here.

After all these years, I still can't comprehend his fascination with it. Not only is it so needlessly hot. But there's barley any meat to partake in a single dish, and the strange 'tofu' apart of it makes me sick on sight. I'd be impressed if an animal actually ate it, Nevermind a descendant of the subjects from my kingdom. But I guess it makes sense these mongrels wouldn't hesitate to eat it. Trash bags aren't picky with what to put in them.

Gilgamesh: I can't believe this century is so lackluster that I'm more focused on questioning kirei's Favorite dishes then anything around me. *sigh* It's gonna be an even Longer Few years till the grail war starts-

*BOOM*

Just as I was beginning to lose even more of my patience with this decade. I stopped my self in mid step as the boom of a small thunderclap reached my ears. Not strong enough to notice on it's own. But it was thunder nonetheless.

Gilgamesh: ... peculiar. There's isn't a single dark cloud in sight. But thunder still echoed out roughly four kilometers away. Too close to be from a man made device. So either a magus, or... an agent.

With that said, I made sure to go down a nearby alleyway that would eliminate any possible mongrels from seeing me open my gate to my treasure room. Once I was far enough down the alleyway. I opened up a portal leading to my treasury, then stepped in. After waiting a while to position the next one. A new portal leading to a mostly abandoned skyscraper appeared in front of me, letting me step out to find what seems to be one of alaya's counter guardians bickering with the will of humanity itself next to them.

???: .... Can't I just shot him with a Caldabolg, and be done with this? The mage's association will do all the work for us, and have everyone label it as a Gas leak.

Alaya: for the tenth time. No.

???: no wonder Gaia hates you.

Alaya: Gaia hates us Both.

???: wait, since you were once apart of Gaia. Isn't her hating you technically self hate or something else.

Alaya: ask tomorrow, and I might answer.

Gilgamesh: well this is a sight I never anticipated. Alaya and a counter guardian being jesters to one another.

Once I made my presence be known to them. The counter guardian instead of giving any reasonable reaction to me being here, Materialized a bow into his hand, then fired off a few swords towards me! Only for them to be dealt with as I opened a few gates in mid air which caught the blades before closing themselves.

Gilgamesh: well, your certainly different from the rest of humanity's agents. But just this once, I'll disregard it. Your the only somewhat interesting thing this era has to offer, Faker.

???: Bite me, Goldilocks. What are you doing here? Don't you have a orphanage to feed off?

Alaya: Emiya, Stand down. You shouldn't start a fight here of all places. Especially with the people nearby.

Gilgamesh: I'd listen to her. I'd be a shame if all the insects down there were 'accidentally' killed cause one of there own was too prideful to bow before there king.

Emiya: Cut the crap, I know you prefer this over me being a no back talking peasant. Nearly five years living in this Era lowered your standards of entertainment.

Gilgamesh: .... Your not correct. But also not wrong. I would prefer more conversations like this over having to dig through any more of the garbage here. Furthermore. what is an agent and alaya doing in this day and age? Isn't there a more interesting start of genocide you have to stop?

Alaya: why bother? Your Sha Naqba Imuru should've told you why we're here right as you looked at us.

Gilgamesh: just humor your king, you collective will of maggots.

Emiya: hey! That's an insult to maggots everywhere! She's more the collective will of every dumb ape this planet is plagued by.

Alaya: you do know your included in that bunch of 'idiot' apes, Emiya.

Emiya: so? Doesn't make it any less true.

Gilgamesh: In more ways then one. Now back to the question at hand. Speck.

Feeling my patience begin to rapidly dwindle over time, I waited for the shared will of humanity's survival to give me a response by choice for what felt like minutes.

Right as I was contemplating to just force an answer out of it with Ea. The giant orb suddenly moved to the side.

Alaya: stand here, and look 4 kms straight ahead.

Wondering what the orb wanted me to see. I walked over to where it and it's agent were standing at, then looked to the closest thing that was 4 kms away. After a few minutes of scanning through the Houses for anything irregular. I stopped when my eyes caught a house that was surrounded by a boundary field that would've been invisible to anyone except me.

Gilgamesh: alright... what's so special about a house under a bounded field? Sure, it's impressive to the standards of this era. But it's nothing compared to the ones from my time.

Emiya: the field isn't why we're here. It's the person inside who's using true magic to force his will over Gaia without even knowing.

Gilgamesh: are you sure? There doesn't seem to be a single hint of such a thing there.

Alaya: because he's only forcing his will over the air. Not the land itself for now. It's barley noticeable, but he's clearly forcing Gaia to surrender her will over part of the earth to him.

Emiya: it isn't permanent at the moment. But overtime. He might be able to Alter the entirety of gaia into his reality marble.

Gilgamesh: so your hoping to kill him right as he decides wether to do it or not, instead of killing him right now and saving a lot of time. Yeah, this has the counter force's cheap 'solution' all across it.

Emiya: at last, we agree on something for once. It wouldn't even take a second to kill him now, so let's just do it, and leave-

Alaya: no. We're gonna watch him and that's final.

Emiya: I'm starting to think you specifically picked me for this, JUST to torture me.

While Alaya and one of her agents were busy arguing with one another over what to do with the magician inside the home. I was currently plotting if wether I should tell kirei about the new user of true magic that was within reach.

On one hand, it'll possibly have him want to personally use the boy to help speed up angra mainyu's revival. But on the other, with the counter force being within eye distance of him. They would start involving themselves right after....

But regardless, they'll only truly get involved right near the end. So they won't end the spectacle any sooner.

Gilgamesh: For once, I'm grateful to leave that blasted church, to crawl through the junk that is this town.

( so what do you guy's think? I know it's not much. At first I was planning on making this, and the next chapter into a single one. But I have to publish SOMETHING for you soon. So here it is. Hopefully I'll be more motivated to write the next chapter and beyond. After this. )
