Season 1 Episode 11 - The Best Father

PREVIOUSLY:
Callum taunted Deanna as it was clear the pair had history.
Deanna persuaded Dean not to involve Callum in the hunt for John.
Robbie asked for Nicole's help in pursuing Deanna.
Bobby left for a hunt and revealed to Nicole that Robbie had no knowledge of the supernatural world.

In a motel room, Deanna walks out of the bathroom towel drying her wet hair as Sam is typing on his laptop. Sam glances up to her and smiles at her and Deanna asks "Where's De?" Sam says "He's out, but he'll be back" and Deanna nods. A moment later as Deanna drops the damp bath towel down on the floor Dean walks in with a grin across his lips. Sam says "You took your time" and Dean says "Y'know that hunt you found?" Sam replies "Yeah Andrea Cotton's murder?" Dean says "Well I went by the bar she worked at, and turns out there was another murder - Dylan Barr" and Deanna places her hands on her hips and says "Maybe you were right Sammy, we got ourselves a hunt" and the Winchester Siblings grin at each other.

John Winchester walks into a diner and looks around and his eyes fall upon on a woman around his age sitting at a booth. John walks towards her booth and sits across from her and the woman says "John" and John nods and says "Emily, thanks for meeting me at such short notice" Emily rolls her eyes and says "Well you didn't give me much choice. Word around is your missing?" John says as he strums his fingers on the table "Why don't you let me worry about that" Emily nods. John looks around and asks "Where is he?" Emily says "The restroom. He's been misbehaving lately" and a young boy walks out of the male restroom with a mark on his cheek. John looks to the young boy and he smiles to the boy and the boy's eyes light up once he sees John and he shouts happily "Papa?!" The boy runs towards John and John spreads his arms out and wraps his arms around the young boy. John's smile fades once he acknowledges the young boys mark on his cheekbone and he asks "Ryder, what happened to your face". Ryder shyly looks to Emily and says sadly "I fell". John nods and glares across to Emily. John smiles to Ryder and says "Hey kiddo why don't you go over by the door, I'll be with you in a minute" and Ryder nods and walks off. John glares to Emily and says "How dare you lift your hand to my Grandson! You're lucky we're in this diner cause if we weren't I swear I'd make you regret the day you were born! I'm gonna take Ryder and look after him" and John stands up and Emily says "You sure you're up for the task, I mean let's face it you ain't the best Father" John stands up and says "I'll do a better job than you" and John walks off towards Ryder and John takes Ryder's hand and they both walk out of the diner.

Later that night Sam and Deanna are sitting at a table in the bar and Sam groans as looks over to Dean who is standing by the bar speaking with a barmaid. Deanna asks "Alright what do we know Sammy?" Sam says as he takes a swig at his beer bottle "I think it's a demon possession. That's two employees from this bar killed Andrea and Dylan" and Deanna sighs "I say tomorrow morning we start to interview the families" and Sam says with a nod "Good call". Deanna's cellphone begins to ring and Deanna lifts her cellphone from the table and Sam asks with sarcasm dripping from his voice "I wonder who that could be?" Deanna playfully slaps Sam's arm and she stands up placing the cellphone to her ear and says "Hey Robbie" and Sam laughs. Dean walks over towards Sam and glances over to Deanna who is walking outside speaking on the phone. Dean sits at the table and asks "Where's she off to?" Sam replies with a smirk across his lips "She's just heading outside to speak to Robbie" and Dean asks "Bobby's Nephew is calling her? He's been calling her a lot lately" and Sam says "I think it's good she has him" and Dean says "I don't like it. Anyway she has us" and Sam sighs.

Deanna is standing outside leaning against the brick wall of the bar with her cellphone pressed against her ear and giggles as she says "Well thanks for checking up on me" and Robbie chuckles and says "I'll always check on you Darlin" and Deanna replies "Are ya tryna sweet talk me?" Robbie says "You think you know me so well...listen I got something to ask ya and before you shoot me down at least promise me you'll thing about it. I wanna take ya out on a date" and Deanna's face falls and she stammers "Rob" and Robbie says "Look I like ya and I want to at least get the chance to take you out, just promise me you'll think about it" and as Deanna speaks, a man approaches her and says "Well, well I heard The Winchester's were in town" and Deanna looks up and he punches her and Deanna punches him back.

Dean and Sam walk out of the bar and they look around and Dean asks loudly "Annie?!" Sam looks around frantically and says "She ain't here". Dean scoffs in disbelief and says "Of course she is!". Sam looks around and his eyes gaze down towards a handbag and he walks towards the handbag as Dean takes out his cellphone and presses his cellphone to his ear. Sam crouches down and picks up the handbag and Dean mutters "C'mon Annie, pick up" and sadness falls upon Sam's face and he turns around and faces Dean and says "Dean". Dean turns around and looks at Sam and Sam says "This is her handbag...she's gone" and Dean's face falls and he looks around with his hands on his head and his eyes well up with tears.

NEXT TIME:
As Deanna gets tortured by her kidnapper, Dean and Sam clash and try to save their little Sister.
Robbie panics.
Deanna tries to escape from her captures clutches.
