Chapter 28 - A Lesson In Doing What You're Told

hey so i can't believe I'm actually going through with this but here's chapter 28, i wanted to post this yesterday but my power went out. this was just a filler chapter mainly but pretty soon it'll get more exciting hopefully. i used *** to indicate time jumps since there seemed to be a lot of shifts between characters in this episode. i didn't feel like doing a retelling of the episode in the proper p.o.v because its the same as the show so it seems like a waste of time. everything basically happened the same as the episode, the only difference that i didn't write is caroline and tyler's part, but you can pretty much assume and fill in everything according to what i wrote and stuff. oh also im gonna try to post every week , but next chapter might take two weeks or so because i think im gonna combine 3 episodes in one idk i'll post it as soon as im done but yeah thats about it, hope you enjoy, i love reading comments and they really motivate me to keep writing so it'd be dope if you commented and stuff. thank you to everyone who has read this so far and i hope you keep reading till the end

 Trinity's P.O.V.

I was lucky enough to wake up before Tyler and managed to sneak out without waking him. I really didn't feel like talking to him anymore about his whole werewolf situation. 

I made my way home as the sun was rising. I didn't expect anyone to be up at this time but to my surprise Damon was coming down the stairs as I walked into the house.

"You're up early." I said, greeting him.

"Yes, and you're home late." He said motioning to the fact that I was in the same clothes as yesterday.

"Tyler wanted me to stay with him."

"Oh." Damon tried to play it off but I could tell he was bothered by me being around Tyler. "I thought he wouldn't want anything to do with you after you told him about us, he doesn't seem like the most level headed person."

"Well I haven't exactly told him yet." I said, not meeting his eyes. I could feel his judging gaze on me. "I think its the last thing he needs to hear right now after all thats happened to him."

"Yeah I heard he triggered the curse, I was actually on my way to talk to blondie about that."

"Caroline?" I questioned.

"Well she was the one to cover for him and I think its best if she stays away from him," He explained. "Same goes for you. I don't want you getting hurt."

It was sweet of him to care about my safety but I couldn't just abandon Tyler. "I promised to help him, he needs me."

"I need you." Damon's voice was low, barely audible. He looked at me with piercing eyes that looked almost white. "Promise me you'll stay away from that kid."

I was reluctant to agree but Damon's pleas were hard to turn down. "I'll keep my distance." He smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back even though I felt uneasy about what I'd just promised. That uneasiness faded away as Damon came lifted my chin up and placed his lips down on mine 

"I gotta go if I wanna catch Caroline before she goes to school," He said, pulling away. "I don't assume you'll be attending today" 

"Ew school, no." I said, making a face.

"And to think you were always bothering me about going to school." Damon chuckled.

"Yeah well high school in real life is very different from the movies."

He moved away from and towards the door. "Right, I'll just be on my way now." He said before walking outside.

I waited for the door to shut before I made my way up the stairs. Stripping off my clothes from last night, I jumped in the shower. I don't how long I stayed in there. It wasn't till my phones beeping got my attention that I shut off the water. Wrapping my body in a towel, I walked forward picking up my phone. A text from Stefan filled my screen: meet at the high school, it's an emergency - S
