We need to talk

"We need to talk" my aunt texts me while I'm sitting at home I get up and head to her
"What is this place?" I asked walking towards Allison and kate
"Let's start with the basics. You know how every family has its secrets? Ours is a little different." Kate says opening the door me and Allison look at eachother and walk in Kate walked over to a light and shined it I gasped seeing Derek
"Isn't he beautiful?" Kate asked.

In the car

"What are you doing is that going to kill him?" I asked
"Oh, come on, kiddo. Don't get all ethical on me now." I look at Allison and kate
"What is he?" Allison asked
"Shape - shifter. Lycan. Werewolf. To me he's just another dumb animal" kate says I look in my mirror tears dropping down my face
"Come here. See these right here? These are canines, also known as fangs. Made for the tearing and rending of flesh. Not something you'd find on those cute little leaf - eating herbivores, is it?" Kate laughed
"Is this a joke to you?" I asked
"Sweetheart, there are werewolves running around in the world. Everything's a joke to me. How else do you think I stay sane?" Kate asked me
"So - it was him at the high school and all the other animal attacks?" Allison asked kate
"There's actually three of them - Another younger one like him called a Beta, and then there's the Alpha. Alpha's the pack leader - Bigger, stronger, nastier. Those - are the real ugly motherf -" I looked through my mirror to see sirens going off
"Oh not now" I sigh
"When we're they going to tell us?" I asked kate
"They still haven't decided if they were going to" kate answered
"Why?" I asked
"Let's just say if you react badly when you find out - Not good." Kate says
"What do you mean not good?" Allison asked
"They don't think that you can handle it. They look at you and what they see are these frightened little girls who's gonna run crying in the corner when they find out the truth. Me - what I see - Natural talent. Guys you said you wanted to feel more powerful, right? Now's your chance"
"What are we supposed to do now?" I asked
"Go to school do your homework. Go to the Formal on Friday night. Be a normal teenage girl who doesn't know anything. Trust me to get everything ready for the next part." Kate tells us
"Next part?" I look at Allison
"We are going to catch the second beta" Someone taps on my window
"Sorry I was going so fast I-i" I started to say crying
"Addison? You alright?" Mr Stilinski asked
"Oh, no. Uh - Okay, all right, uh - Listen, you weren't going that fast. Just, uh - 75 in a 25 in a - construction zone" Mr Stilinski says
"Oh, God - uh, I'm not crying get out of the ticket. I just, um - I don't want you to think I'm like this -" I lean my head back on my seat
"No it's okay perfectly okay it's uh" he says
"No, please. Write me a ticket. I need you to write me a ticket, okay?" I say
"Okay. I don't see how that's gonna really make you feel a lot better -"
"It's so humiliating I swear I'm not like this" I say putting my hands on the wheel
"I understand" he says calmly
"This isn't me this is- this is - this is not me," I take a deep breath "this isn't me" Mr Stilinski looked at me "I'm okay" I say
"Yeah?"
"Yeah im okay I'm okay" I say
"Do I still have to write you a ticket?" He asked and I laugh a little.

At school

Me and Allison were at her locker
"I can't stop thinking about it how do you do it" I asked
"I can't stop either but I try" she says closing her locker
"Oh my god jackson" I say
"Hey what time should I pick you up for the dance tomorrow?" Jackson asked Allison
"You okay" Allison asked
"Yeah, I - I'm great. I'm just excited to go to the formal. With you. As friends. Just friends. Just - just friends." I laugh a little
"Ease up Jackson she doesn't bite" Scott and Stiles look at eachother
"What?" Jackson said sweating more
"Jackson I'm kidding" I say he laughs a little and I look at Allison.

At the mall

"Nothings wrong I just have a lot on my mind" Allison days
"You could smile, at least. Ever heard of the saying, "Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile"? Smile, girls I'm buying you a dress." Lydia says
"Have to admit as far as apologizes go that's more then I expected" Allison says
"Exalent" Lydia smiles
"But not as much as I'm gonna ask" Allison say
"What's that supposed to mean?" Lydia asked
"It means you're going to cancel on whatever dumb, roided - up jock you said yes to and you're going to go with somebody else." Me and Lydia looked at her

"Him" she says pointing to stiles I look at her "Don't frown, Lydia. Someone could be falling in love with your smile." Allison repeats,
Me and Allison were looking for dresses when someone comes up to us
"Red isn't really your color" I look over
"Oh?" I say
"Sorry if that was intrusive, but - considering your skin tone, I'd go lighter." He says looking at us
"Is it because we're pale?" Allison asked
"Fair. I mean, you can't call skin like yours pale. Not skin that perfect." He says I smile a faint smile
"Trust me, I - I have a unique perspective on the subject. Do you mind?" He asked grabbing our arms lightly "See? Much better." He says giving us both dresses "You're not here alone, are you? Shopping for dresses - with friends. High school dance." He asked
"Formal" I say nervous
"Attention shoppers. To the owner of a blue Mazda, license plate -" Allison looks at me

"5768. Your car is being towed -" the announcer says
"Oh that's my car Addison go find Stiles and Lydia" I shake my head
"No Allison I don't wanna go with-" she was already down the escilater "with them" I say walking towards the dressing room
