The nurse told them that Taylor was poisoned, and that she needed to take some medicine to get better. Fortunately, the poison wasn't too severe to kill her. No wonder she looked so abnormally pale.

Taylor was currently sitting down on a chair inside the nurse office from the mansion. She was still pale, but a bit less than last night. Kai, Paris, and the male bodyguard were with her. They were standing in different corners of the office, waiting for the nurse to return with the medicine.

"You see, Kai? Someone really wants to kill me. I was even poisoned." Taylor was speaking in a whiney tone of voice, like if she was indeed terrified about everything that was happening to her. "I'm so scared. I don't want to die. I mean it. Those gangsters will never let me go. You must help me, Kai. If you help me, then...I promise that I'll give you the evidence I have in exchange. Please!"

Paris seriously wanted to cover her ears, or else she'll become deaf because of this woman! Why did she had to whine like a child? Taylor's voice was too irritating, and it was difficult to tell if she was saying the truth. However, she did sounded like she was afraid and traumatized.

Kai could only stare at Taylor silently, with those piercing eyes of hers. Her brows were wrinkled as always. She was analyzing the whole situation in her head. She thought that she would not have to deal with these types of problems for a while after defeating the groups of small gangs the other day. But now, seeing how things are going, it seems like more problems were coming ahead with Taylor and those other gangs.

Seeing that Kai had no intentions of responding back, Taylor opened her mouth again to continue whining, "Please, trust me this time, Kai. I really don't know whom to go to except for you. You are the only person I have left that can help me."

Kai finally rolled her eyes, not taking this anymore. She turned around to let out a deep and loud sigh, and went to stare out the window that was inside the office.

It was about to rain. The sky was getting dark. Kai didn't know what to do. She needed some time to think about all of this. Maybe even talk to her father to see what they can decide. She wanted to know what evidence Taylor had with her. However, at the same time, she didn't want to be deceived by her again. What was the right decision anyway?

At the end, Kai decided to speak to her father about all of this. She ordered Paris this time instead to keep her eyes on Taylor at the nurse office while she goes to talk with the leader of the major family. Paris agreed without protesting. She knew that this was a serious situation, and therefore she was up to do anything to help Kai resolve all of this as soon as possible.

Pearl was soon informed about all these news that were taking place at the mansion. Kai called her into her father's office since she was one of her most loyal bodyguards that also knew about Taylor and the past. She was also needed in this conversation for open opinions. Pearl is actually the closest bodyguard that Kai has, and she could also be considered a confidant. Even the leader trusted her in many things.

The whole reason why Pearl was even working for the major family in the first place was because she put all her trust in Kai's father who promised her that if she worked for the family, he would maintain her grandparents who live in an old village not that far away.

This is why Pearl was fully trusted by this family, because she was devoted to them, and never failed them even once in the years that she has been working for them.

"Taylor already fooled you once, Ms. Kai. She might try to do it again. We'll never know. But, in my opinion, I believe that we should stay alert around her." Pearl told the mafia leader and his daughter. She was currently standing up in a corner of the room, with her hands behind her back, while Kai and the leader were sitting down at the table.
