Chapter 30

"Happy Birthday Mr. Montecillo."

I give my gift as I smiled sweetly. Klare also does same way.

"Thank you Engineers," Greg said as he received it. "I'm glad you two came and to finally meet Engineer Alcantara."

As expected, Klare make a flirtatious look.

She didn't change at all. Tsk!

"Let's go?" yaya ni Greg.

We entered the party and all I can feel is luxuriance while watching the scene in front.

"I hope you'll enjoy ladies," he said as he give us a glass of wine.

Tinanggap namin ito ni Klare.

"I thought it's a business celebration aside from your birthday Mr. Montecillo?" hindi ko mapigilang magtanong.

I can see men and women dancing while the others are in the pool exposing their hot bodies.

"Uhm...yeah, there is also business there."

Pero bakit ganito ka-wild? It looks like a bar.
In my observation, I think there's no business in between.

I heard him laugh.

"The formal party was held inside the house. Sina Mom and Dad ang nag-asikaso. And it just finished minutes ago before you two arrived. For now, it's my own party."

"We're sorry for our late presence Mr. Montecillo—"

"No it's okay," he said with an assuring smile. "Hindi rin naman lahat ng mga business partners ng kompanya nakapunta kanina sa formal party. Engineer Villamonte's presence this morning at the company is the very important."

Ang dami kasing arte ng bruhang katabi ko.

"So...I'll leave you two for this moment Engineers 'cause I have some visitors to greet. Just help yourselves and enjoy, okay?"

"Yeah, sure thing Mr. Montecillo."

Greg exits his presence with a smile.

Naiwan kaming dalawa ni Klare.

Tiningnan ko ang bruha at kagaya ng inaasahan ko ay sinundan niya ng malanding tingin si Greg. I just take a sip on my wine. Greg has a body. While talking to him recently, I can tell he's hot. Wearing a polo shirt and a beach short, there's no doubt girls will flocked at him.  Maybe I can be one of them.

"Tapos na?"

"Nah, I'm contented with what I have right now."

I laughed at her reaction. She's contented but the way he looks at Greg right now makes me think that she's the Klare I know before way back years ago.

"Let's go?"

"Require ba talagang maligo tayo sa pool? Can I say "pass" for now?"

Binatukan niya ako.

"Hindi na nga tayo nakadalo sa formal party kanina, aayaw ka pa ngayon?"

Yeah. She has a point but I'm not in the mood to join the vibe.

"Mauna ka na. I'll just finish this wine."

"Okay," sabi niya at iniwan ako.

Umupo ako sa recliner at pinagmasdan ang mga tao sa harap ko ngayon. Wild lights and the loud banging sound. Mga bagay na gusto ko noon. I like the ambiance of the party. It's about almost a decade now but the memories we've made in this part of their house were still fresh in my mind. Sinasabi ng bibig kong nakalimutan ko na at kinukumbinsi ang sariling malabo na ang mga ito ngunit sa totoo lang naalala ko pa lahat-lahat.
