after waiting for what felt like hours but was really only about 20 minutes i hear giggling coming down the stairs.
i turn around and see ace in black suit with Avery in his arms with a cute little black dress giggling and behind him was Luke in a dark blue suit with Alex in a cute little button down and khakis
i got up and kissed ace and took Avery
"Is everyone ready?" i ask and everyone says yes except Avery and Alex who wiggles out of my and Lukes arms and runs upstairs.
about 4 minutes later they run back down with a piece of yarn wrapped around each of their wrists
they always make little bracelets for each other every time we go out but i guess since they didn't have time for that, so they settled for pieces of yarn
"Lukey, can you cut this please" Avery asks Luke to cut the extra piece of yarn that's hanging off of her and Alexs's wrists
Luke cuts it and then picks the two up and we walk out to the car
Luke sits in the back and buckles both of the twins into their car seat, and we start to drive to the building
"Mom, dad" Luke calls for me and ace
"Yea?" I ask and ace hums
"I was um invited to dinner I guess" he says and i look back at him confused
"You guess? with who?" I ask and he laughs
"a girl but she invited me to a restaurant" he says, and I raise my eyebrows at him and ace smirks
"You have a date lukeeee" I say dragging out his name
"I don't know, she's never said she liked me" he says and i roll my eyes
oh, i love him so much but Hes a little slow sometimes, i will never tell him that though because look at me I'm not sitting here as a smart-ass adult...
"Well, I don't think it's just a dinner, every dinner I went on one with boys was never just a dinner" I say, and ace puts his hand on my thigh
"Sucks that they're all dead now" ace mumbles and i glare at him
when ace found out that one of my Ex's were texting me and bothering me, he told me he would, and I quote "deal with it" so um yea he was on the news missing the next day
anyways back to Lukes's date
"What restaurant" I ask, and he looks at me with a worried look
"Um she told me to pick the restaurant" he says, and I looked at him shocked
she invited him and then made him pick the restaurant
oh my
"Ok well maybe try the Sublimotion , its Spanish avant-garde food!" i say and he looks at me confused
"Spanish food Luke" I say, and he nods
"Luke I wouldn't listen to your mom honestly" ace says and i look at him offended
"Watch what you say next ace the couch and you can become very good friends tonight" I say, and he laughs squeezing my thigh
"I say take her to olive garden" ace says and as much as I hate to say it he might be right
"Or somewhere that's not too expensive, second date you can take her to Sublimotion but that's an expense restaurant its almost two thousand dollars per person if the first date goes well, I'll give you the money to go there but the first date has to go well" ace says and I nod
"Oh, wow this is going to be stressful" Luke says and i laugh
does he even like this girl...?
"Luke" I ask, and he hums
"Do you like her?" I ask and wait for a response after five minutes of him not talking I look into the backseat, and I see his head in his hands
"Someone has a crush" ace says laughing and i hit him
"I do" he says looking up and he starts blushing

"Do you have a picture of her?" I ask and he nods and goes to pull up a picture
"Love I have a meeting today did you want to attend with me" ace asks and i nod
"mommy" I hear Avery yell
"Yes baby?" I answer looking into the backseat at her
"Can you get me a baby?" she asks, and I laugh and ace answers for me
"I'll get you a baby Avery, you'll have to wait a couple of months for it, but I'll work on it" he says, and Avery says ok and goes back to talking with Alex
"Ace if you get me pregnant, I will castrate you" I say smiling
"This is her" Luke says showing me his phone and like any good human I pried it out of his hands
"don't swipe" he says sounding stressed
"I'm not, but she's so pretty, ace isn't she pretty??" I ask ace showing him the picture
"Yea she kinda looks like you" ace says and I laugh and hand Luke his phone back
"So, olive garden or apple bees, chilis, steak house where do I go and what time" Luke asks us and ace being ace had to give the most inappropriate answer ever
"Not too late at night unless you plan on getting laid" he says, and I take his phone
it may sound weird, but ace is like a teenager when it comes to his phone so i mean why not take it?
"Am i grounded or some shit give me my phone" he says reaching for it
"no" I say, and he stops trying
"I can't even pick a place to eat dinner at let alone try to get laid" he says and i laugh
"What getting laid mean" Alex asks I was about to respond but ace beat me to it
"you'll find out later in life" ace says laughing while I glare at him
we finally pull into the parking lot and ace parks in the front spot labeled CEO and we get out and head in
