We walked together, but I didn't realize he was speaking. Hunter noticed my lack of focus and touched my shoulder gently. "Are you doing alright?" He asked quizzically, biting his lower lip and looking into my eyes. I nodded, trying to say something, anything. "I just want to make sure that you're okay. If something's going on and you want to talk about it, go ahead, and if you don't, you don't have to say anything," he said quietly, standing in front of me and practically shielding me from passerby. I couldn't help but smile. He had only recently met me but he was already treating me better than some who've known me for years. Hunter notice my sudden smile and raised a brow. "What- what is it?" He looked around, wondering if I had seen anything that would make my mood change. I couldn't help but laugh slightly at his perplexed expression. "Nothing.. Come on you nerd," I spoke as I lead him to the food court, forgetting that I had grabbed is hand. The way my hand fit perfectly in his made me blush once I did realize what I had done. I noticed that he wasn't looking at me now, but his grip on my hand had tightened. I wish I knew what he was thinking. He turned to look at me finally, his cheeks bright red. "Um.. Do you want to get anything for lunch?" He was finally able to muster, clearly embarrassed. I felt bad for making him barely able to talk, but it was cute how he got red in the face from me leading him around. I suggested simple salads since my personal diet is a bit hard to plan around and could make non-vegans dissatisfied with their meal. Hunter ordered for me, then paid before I could even get my wallet out. This time, he grabbed my hand and lead me to a table. I looked him over, noticing some things about him that I hadn't prior to this moment. His shoulder blades stuck out a bit and his belt wasn't really helping keep his pants up. I smiled slightly, taking a seat across from him at the table he chose. Hunter handed me my salad, and I began to eat slowly. I kept my face down for the most part, answering the few questions that he asked me from time to time. "What is your favorite colour?" He questioned me. "How generic, is that the first thing you could think of?" I teased, " My favorite colours are black, burgundy, and purple. What about you?" Hunter thought fore a moment before cheesily saying, "The colour of your eyes" I rolled my eyes, putting my hand down on the table. "So a weird green with a bit of brown?" I smirked, waiting for his reply. His hand slowly touched mine, his fingers snaking between my own. "Precisely. But I actually do like green an black," he added, running his free hand through his dyed blue-black hair. "Alright.. What did you call me again? Oh yeah, nerd, want to go anywhere else or are you going to continue to snack on lettuce like a rabbit?" Hunter gazed down at me, observing my features. I pretended that I didn't notice. "Maybe I am a rabbit," I finally looked him in the eyes after a while, noticing that they were a stormy grey. "Well, you're a very cute rabbit then. "
