Learning Yuna's Past...

-Ruki's P.o.v-

I knew something was up, Yuna hadn't text or called me in days and I know she wasn't working as she had days off until new years, I thought it was to do with the party night and the kiss on the cheek I gave her made her start to avoid me but quickly found out it was nothing to do with any of that; it was to do with something completely different that happened a long time ago, according to Ai. I was getting annoyed be left in the dark about what was happening so Ai told me to go to her bar in the morning so she could explain everything to me about Yuna,

"Ai?"

I asked opening the door, she came out of the back room motioning me to follow her to the actual part of her house. I sat down in her living room and she down next to me taking a deep drag of her cigarette,

"So what are you going to tell me?"

She sat there for a moment, looked as if she was thinking.

"To put this simply, she's mourning...not over her sister though...about ten years ago, a few days after her birthday. Yuna's ex Mitsuharu and her got into a really big argument, about what is a mystery. Yuna has never told anyone what it was about, well after their heated argument Mitsuharu stormed out and Yuna called me telling me she was an idiot and telling me what happened. We never heard from Mitsuharu after that, you see, that night he stormed out, the roads were completely icy...and well...he lost control and crashed into another car. He died that night and ever since then Yuna has blamed herself for his death each and every year. Her sister, was always the one to cheer her up on this days and as you know, she can't do that any more...Right now Yuna has no one. Which has possibly made Yuna feel worse about everything and is probably beating herself up for both deaths, but after that she wasn't the same Yu-chan I once knew. She locked everyone out, hardly made conversation and I lost contact with her for two whole years, then suddenly she came back and found me, started coming to my bar...She won't listen to me and you are about the only person to persuade her to do things she doesn't want to do...Takanori, you're the closest one to her, I leave Yuna to you because you only have the littlest shell to break to know the real Yuna."

Ai finished her tale, I was fully shocked, all this time I had never known how deep Yuna's past went, and that she never once mentioned the ex boyfriend but then who would? This all had explained so much to me. For a moment I sat there wondering what I could do when suddenly the door to what I thought was the bedroom open and revealed a very tired looking Uruha,

"Oh I see...That's why you haven't answered anyone's calls..."

Uruha's head fell to the floor in guilty embarrassment and Ai also blushed, the next thing I knew I was getting shoved out the door with Ai telling me to get going, in which I did, as I walked I began to worry more and more when finally I was outside Yuna's apartment building.

Knocking on her door I listened, no answer. This made me worry even more as I started to knock more desperately,

"Yuna? Are you in there?"

Yelling for her and still no answer, the only movement of sound I received was the next door neighbour's door opening to reveal a women not much younger then me,

"You know her?"

The woman motioned Yuna's door while I quickly nodded to her, in which the woman sigh and began to feel aross the top of Yuna's door. When we both heard a clink and she pulled a key down,

"I saw her one night getting the key from there...But let's keep this key under secrets because I'm sure the poor girl has been through enough."

I had sincerity within her tone of voice as she unlocked the door and placed the key back where she found it, with a curt nod to her she put her hand on my arm to stop me for a moment.

"Could you tell her, sorry from her neighbours?"

The woman then retreated back into her apartment when I said 'yes', Finally I took a step into Yuna's apartment and only one thing hit my noise, the smell of alcohol.  Closing the door behind me I went further into the apartment and found Yuna sitting in the middle of the floor in her living room, with her music box and a shoe box placed neatly in front of her and various alcohol bottles around her.

"Yuna?"

I asked but she just took a swig of her bottle while sobbing,

"I told you to leave me alone!"

Her words were slurred and loud not to mention that she looked pissed.

"Yuna, I can't leave you in this drunken state, can I?"

Crouching by her side, I placed my hand on her shoulder and continued to talk to her,

"I think it's time to stop drinking."

Yuna reacted in a way I didn't expect, she flinched away and started to yell.

"I'm not f*cking drunk! So piss off and leave me the f*ck alone!"

She took another swig from her bottle causing me to attempt to take the bottle off her,

"Yuna please give me the bottle..."

I pleaded her but all she did was push me gently away while growling a 'F*ck off' to me, by this point I began to also lose my cool.

"Yuna, I'm not playing about any more. Give. Me. The. Bottle!"

She was completely un-affected by my tone of voice.
