Kinda long sorry in advance) Yoongi was driving you to the restaurant and you could sense he was still a little nervous because his grip on the steering wheel was tight his other hand was resting on the gear shift so you decided to gently place your hand on top of his rubbing your thumb across to ease him.
Once the GPS signaled you were at the restaurant Yoongi got out and opened the door for you. "Reservation for Y/L/N party of 4" you said to the hostess as she guided you to the table your parents were at
"Y/N there you are look at you your so beautiful" your mother said giving you a hug "Hey kiddo" your dad said ruffling your hair "Dad please not the hair it took forever to style" you groaned "And you must be Yoongi why you look just as my daughter described a very handsome young man you are. Oh and this is my husband Y/D/N, Y/N father" your mother introduced "It's a pleasure to meet you both" he shook their hands and bowed to them "Well don't just stand there please sit down we ordered a bottle of wine to start off" "Dear I told you not too I don't want him drunk driving with our daughter" your Dad whispered to your mom but you over heard "Oh umm im not really drinking these days and Yoongi isn't too much into wine. I'll just get a water" You said as Yoongi agreed to a water as well
The waiter came by and took everyone's food orders and left you guys to continue talking. "So Yoongi what are you doing? My daughter says you're quite the workaholic" your dad started to spark up a conversation with him "I'm a music producer/singer" "That's so neat my girl has always been a lover of music ever since she was a little girl I would always catch her in the kitchen singing into the wooden spoons and now she works at a music store " your mother admitted. your face turned red and Yoongi chuckled at you till your dad spoke "That's nice as a hobby but what about a real job you can't expect to make money and pay bills by just making music. My daughter deserves to be living in a great home where she is taken care of and frankly I don't think you can provide that and the fact that you hardly have time for her just shows you don't really care about her"
"Y/D/N now don't you think you took that a little to far?" Your mom scolded him You can sense Yoongi was getting angry and was about to blow "Yoongi calm down it's okay" you said soothingly "You listen here I absolutely love your daughter and nothing in this world can change that. My music does make money and I work long and hard hours so that she can have the life and home she's been dreaming of.I honestly wish it didn't take up all my time but I love what do and I cherish every single moment I have with her because in the end coming home to see her happy and healthy is all that truly matters and I would give everything I have to keep it that way" The waiter showed up as Yoongi stormed off back to the car "I um...sorry I'll be back" you said as you ran after Yoongi your dad sat there speechless at his confession.
"Yoongi babe wait up" He kept walking ignoring you as he angrily took off his tie throwing it in the back seat "I knew this would be a mistake. Shit!" He cursed at he hit the wheel as tears were threatening to escape from his eyes You grabbed his face to look at you "Yoongi look at me. I should have never rushed you into this I knew you were nervous" "Do you think I'm not good enough like he said? You think my job isn't helping us live the life we want." "Yoongi you are more than enough my love and I'm not with you for the money I would take a shabby little apartment over a huge mansion the only thing is that we're happy together and I honestly love your passion for your work don't think because of what my dad said you have to quit" He hugged you tightly till you heard a faint tapping on the window which made you jump you saw your mom standing next to your father signaling for you to roll the window down
"Y/N your father would like to apologize for his behavior" she nudged him "Yoongi I'm sorry about all I said in there I just wanted to make sure my daughter was protected and that you weren't going to treat he like her previous boyfriend. But from what I saw and heard I think it's safe to say she seems very happy with you and she will be okay so keep doing what you're doing and take good care of her"
"Yes sir I will you can count on that" Yoongi said as he looked at you brushing your hair out of your face you smiled back at him as he almost leaned in to kiss you
" okay lovebirds wait till I'm gone. Your dad said
You and Yoongi both chuckled as your parents left
"I'm so glad everything worked out" you sighed "Me too I love you Jagiya more than anything now let's get my princess something to eat" "I'm really craving some fries and a milkshake from that burger place you always used to take me too" He smiled "I think we're a little too dressed up for that but if it makes you happy you're wish is my command" He started driving to the burger place and you got your milk shake and fries as you both decided to sit on the bench at the park across the street just watching the cars on the road pass by
