[Khabarovsk]

The next day, after about two hours since Farid and Commanding officer Zhang had went back to where they left the transport vehicle, Kanzaki and the rest of the team on the other hand were already on a standby at the very northern road of the city. Such road was the only available road that is heading directly to the town of Amursk, the other roads that were leading to it were completely destroyed from the aftermath of the apocalypse.

Naturally when they arrived at such place, Kanzaki, Yuti, and Richard then encountered some small chaos beast at the size of a small rabbit swarming the place. But since all three of them had already experienced fighting against such basic monsters in comparison to its other rankings, the three of them were then able to quickly handle such place and hastily clean it up.

For their current self, a chaos beast in such size wasn't much of a threat, in fact putting aside the larger variety of chaos beast, they somehow find challenge against chaos being at the level of chimera and knight class. As for the Titan class, they were still far off from challenging such monstrosity.

After killing the last bit off the small chaos beast, Kanzaki then lightly swiped the blood away from his sword (Fafnir) and sheathed in back to its place. Following that he then turned towards the others as he conversed with both Richard and Yuti.

"How is it going on your side?" asks Kanzaki

"I'm done here" answered Richard as he pulled back his dual Gunblade

"Me too" said Yuti as she lowered her bow

Upon seeing such number of dead corpses lying on the ground, Kanzaki then couldn't help but somehow feel gross out by such carnage.

"There were too many of them... how come we never noticed such a number from the very beginning?" asks Kanzaki

"Do we even need to bother? I mean they are small..." retorted Richard

"Yeah! but numerous to the fact that just by counting all of them, we will arrive at the hundreds" said Kanzaki

"Also there are some incident that some agents got killed just by being flooded by the number of monsters they are fighting" added Yuti

"Maybe purely out of exhaustion" muttered Richard

"Exactly!" pointed out by Kanzaki

"... Fine! you've proven your point" snarled Richard

As they conversed in such chat, they then heard some rumbling of an engine from afar as they all saw the armored vehicle that their group had used heading towards them. Realizing that  Farid and the Commanding officer Zhang had arrived, the three of them naturally gave way as they let the vehicle stop in front of them.

*********

When everyone had finally gotten on the armored vehicle, the whole group then finally left6 Khabarovsk as they headed out to the road. Just like stated before based on their estimation, the whole group would then arrive at the town of Amursk after a deliberate travel of 2 days. But if ever they somehow managed to clear any obstructions at the fastest speed, they would arrive at the town at the estimated 1 day and a half.

Unfortunately not everything goes their way, just as they got out to the open road, the whole group then came before a long obstacle of crashed cars. Upon seeing such obstacles, the whole group had no choice but to track the road as carefully as possible.

Just like that they spent about 5 hours just on tacking this long road of obstacles, before they finally went to the open road free of obstructions. When the travel got smooth, everyone finally relaxed for a bit as they all enjoyed the relaxing moment.

*********

When night came, the whole team then decided to camp out for the night, as everyone prepared to set up a bonfire to keep themselves warm on such environment. When the fire was finally created, everyone huddled together as they waited for Yuti to finish cooking up their dinner.

As they waited, all the boys naturally begun telling stories to pass the time in this cold night.

"Commanding officer Zhang!" called out by Richard

"Yes?" asks Commanding officer Zhang

"How long have you been in the military?" asks Richard

"How long have i been? Well i think about 12 years already" answered Commanding officer Zhang

"12 years? does that mean you've experienced the apocalypse?" asks Farid

"Indeed! During that time when you lot were still drinking milk from your mother's, i have already been in the military... you can already say that I've dedicated my life in the military" answered Commanding officer Zhang

"Is that so? By the way... how would you describe the apocalypse?" asks Richard

"... Terrible... Horrendous... a nightmare... Its like seeing the whole world being turned upside down, in fact I've experience it first hand" said Commanding officer Zhang

"First hand... " muttered Farid

"Yeah! During that time i was just a simple soldier battling at the frontline, the weapons back then  aren't efficient as the weapons of today... There were no Klein element, no foreign energy, no core weapons... All our weapons back then are just made of steel and lead... a single chaos beast needs about a hundred of bullets and a lot of explosives just to take it down" said Commanding officer Zhang

"Your right! compared today wherein a single Klein bullet could literally deal a major damage to a chaos beast, a lead bullet would need about a hundred of it just to penetrate through the chaos beast armor... truly uncovering such an element was a miracle which literally advances the weaponry of our world" said Richard

"Yeah! Such year is literally like the dark ages for us the military... anyway I've answered your question, naturally you wouldn't mind if is ask you guys right?" asks Commanding officer Zhang

"No please do!" encouraged Richard

"Yeah!" supported by Farid

Hearing their response, Commanding officer Zhang then turned to face towards Kanzaki.

"I heard from one of my colleagues, that you somehow managed to encounter the Terrorist group back in China and also fought one of its members back in the Philippines, can you tell us just how strong they are, based on your perspective?"

Hearing such a question, Kanzaki then gulped down his saliva as he answered truthfully
