I wake up with my heart racing and chest heaving, struggling to get air in my lungs. I fling my covers off of my body as I scramble to sit up. My mind replaying the haunting nightmare or memory rather. As I try to calm my racing heart, I glance at the clock. 4:00 a.m.? There's no way I'm going back to bed. I sigh heavily and slide out of bed, making it then padding off to my bathroom. I take a very hot shower, trying to erase the memories that got rebranded into my mind. Before quickly drying my hair, letting my natural curls fall loose. I apply some light makeup and then walk to my closet.
What to wear? I shuffle through my clothes until I decide on grey v-neck sweater. I grab my undergarments, black ripped jeans, fishnets, and quickly put them on. I pick out my black vans instead of boots today. Maybe I should skateboard to school? I mean it's not that far and since I'm ready so early, I would be there right in time. I finally make up my mind and decide to skateboard to school. So I grab my warmer leather jacket and my skateboard.
