Thank you everyone for reading this fiction. It's my very first fiction I've actually worked on and manged to finish it !!! I usually start fictions and end up never finishing it 😭
And to be honest, I actually started this fic, originally around the pandemic of 2020 summer. I remember laying on bed, super sick and couldn't sleep well because of covid, I had thought of a scenario of "what if Tord can't sleep and Tom ends up watching him for the night???" And this this was born ! I know this took me like 3 years to complete, because i constantly forget I have a Wattpad account still existing lmao💀 but anywayyy I know this fic has its flaws
Like how every chapter somehow starts with them waking for breakfast and lunch and dinner is basically non existent 😭 and THEN RINGO I ALWAYS FORGOT TO INCLUDE HER IN THE CHAPTERS WJFJSJ I know the characters are not completely acting to their canon self, I mean, it is a fic after all lol but tbh, I actually wanted to base the characters off on the 2004-2007 eddsworld version, I lowkey preferred that version a little more than the recent never ones tbh, especially Tord. I low-key don't like his newer version; so that's why Tord seems to be a little different in the fic, and Tom is an asshole but like ×2 because isn't he actually canonically?? (Tbh everyone's mean in the eddsworld cast show lololol bcz remember Edd wouldn't hesitate to hold a gun and kill Ahahs) I was very much into this fandom ever since I was 12, the cringy old me yikessss I was still like 15 when I wrote this back in 2020 lmao,,, and then when I picked up this fic back, I wasn't even into eddsworld anymore, so you can probably sense that some things aren't described well in the later chapters-
I know Tom really took the babysitter position a lot in this fic and I'm so sorry sifjejf— and Tord being a fucking cry baby, perhaps I'd been too biased when I was writing this fic I'm so sorry (ᗒᗩᗕ) but honestly,,, I just wanted to switch up the roles somehow?? Although, he only got emotional when his dead mother is mentioned—ahaha But honestly, this was the first fanfiction I'd work on, I was pretty ambitious and the ahhh the young passion I felt when I started writing this lmao—idk where all of this went ಥ‿ಥ
Time sure does fly fast! I'm just so glad I finished my fic. I know some parts seemed super cliche, (and I cringe everytime I even read it myself ;-;) but what matters is that it's finally completed ! Finding a good tomtord fic that's actually finished is surprisingly scarce! But then again, I'm not into eddsworld anymore, I've already left this fandom years ago, it was fun while it lasted though! There are some facts about this fic if you wanna know! *In chapter 17, I originally planned Tom to become sick and Tord to take care of the sick man, and confess to him lol *Planned on writing some mild nsfw scenes but cut it out since I wanted this fic to be pg13, I know myself (wtf was I thinking I was still young) and the eddsworld fandom, most fans are very young, going as far as 8 to 11 🧍 (Little kids shouldn't be exposed to the smutty side of Wattpad WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?? /jkjk 😰) *I plan on releasing a few sets of Oneshots named as "specials" that's just a little side stories after the epilogue. Let me know if you guys would want that!! <33
