I went to run after her but Dante scooped me up, holding me back with his arm around my waist as he shut and locked the door.

"Let her go, Infinity."

I kicked and wriggled in blind rage, "You let me go!"

"There's a time and a place for that. This isn't it, trust me." He turned my face with his free hand, making me look at him, "But when it's time, I won't hold you back."

"What if she never comes back?"

He shrugged, "She'll be back, I'm sure of it."

I let out an exasperated sigh, "Whatever, I'm going to my room."

"Wait," he gently wrapped a hand around my wrist, "A guy tried something with you at the club?"

I looked away, "It was nothing, really. Anyways, I let it happen."

"Oh... so you wanted to do something with him?"

"At first yes, but then I told him that I wasn't feeling it anymore and he... didn't like that very much. But I mean it was lowkey my fault for starting him up."

He looked at me as if he suddenly forgot all of his English,"Your fault? What are you even saying right now?"

"It was fine, nothing really happened after that."

He shook his head and pulled me close to him, his hands squeezing my biceps, "Don't fucking say it's fine, don't..." he closed his eyes and dragged in a slow breath before telling me in a calmer voice, "Don't blame yourself for some asshole's actions. You said no. No is a complete sentence, end of story."

"O-okay." my voice was as quiet as a mouse as I evaded his eye contact.

"Did he hurt you?"

I looked down at my shoes.

"Hey, look right here" he brought my chin up, forcing our eyes to meet, "Did he hurt you?" he enunciated slowly.

"I mean... he was strong and heavy as fuck but no. He just fucked up G's dress, the one she was bitching about."

He breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank God. If anything like that happens to you again, you tell me immediately. Got it?"

"Yeah." I replied.

Why does he suddenly care so much about me? It was kind of cute, but why? Well, I guess it's actually not that sudden, I just never let him care. I just thought since he was one of G's "conquests" that I should just back off and distance myself from him automatically. It's what I always do. No point getting to know someone that I know won't be around for long.

He cracked a weak smile and turned to walk away, "Wait," he turned back to me, "So, that means that was the night that she ran away with the uh... Swedish guy?"

I nodded.

"And the Greek, too?"

I nodded again, slowly.

"Right... she told me that she had been with you all night and that you left her." he chuckled softly with a pained smile, "Looks like we were both getting played."

"For the record, I'm really sorry about that, Dante. I should've said something before. G told me that she didn't want anything serious with you, I shouldn't have let her lead you on like that."

He shook his head, "That has nothing to do with you. Anyways, she flat-out told me that she wanted to keep things casual. I just- I don't know why, I thought I could maybe change her mind."
