Y/N POV

"Stop," I heard a voice come from behind us.

I grabbed Frisk away as a beam blows Flowey away.

I turned around, facing a goat-like creature. She had a human-like figure, and she had a sympathetic face.

"Who are you?" I asked suspiciously. She looked nice, but they might all be pretending like Flowey did.

"I am Toriel,  the caretaker of these ruins and I often come back to check on any humans that had fallen. You are the first humans in a long time. I can help guide you through the ruins."

I hesitate. This could be a trap.

Frisk looked at me and shrugged, "We kind of got no choice, Y/N."

I sighed, following her down the ruins.

"What a terrible creature, torturing such poor, innocent, youths..." Toriel started.

She walked through the ruins, explaining how the basics of the Underworld works. We soon came across a large purple room with stairs on two sides. On the bottom of the stairs, there was a shining light.

'Hey, it's me, your assistant.' I heard a voice in my head. 'Click on that shiny light. That's your saving point.'

Okay. I clicked on it, then followed up the stairs. Frisk also clicked on it, strangely enough, but that might just be because I did it first.

"This is one of the puzzles. I had marked the switch for you already."

I went over to the lever to pull it. Another door opened, opening to another room. Walking inside, Frisk and I saw a dummy.

Aww, that's cute. I thought.

"So, we are going to practice combat. I want you to talk to the dummy, so then I can intervene."

A button showed up on my screen. It said 'Act' on it. I pressed on it, giving me another button written 'Dummy' on it. Then there was a 'Talk' button, which I pressed on as instructed by Toriel.

"So... Hello," I said, chuckling awkwardly. It wasn't just that I was talking to a dummy, but also the fact that Frisk was staring at me. They were creeping me out, no offense.

"Let's go to the next room now. Follow me," Toriel said.

Walking through another door, there were rows of spikes on the floor.

"Puzzles seem a little too dangerous for now..." Toriel said, right before taking me and Frisk over the spikes.

We passed by many monsters, but Toriel just glared at them, causing them to back away. (I'm proud of Mom.)

"Now, here's a challenge for you. Walk across the hallway by yourselves."

I looked down the hallway. It looked eerie and dark, and I wasn't sure whether I should go there. I looked at Frisk, but she just calmly walked into the darkness.

We walked down the hallway, and I soon figured that there was nothing in the hallway to attack us, unlike Flowey. Toriel gave us an easy task.

At the end of the hallway, I saw Toriel waving at us.

"Children, excuse me, but I need to go somewhere. Don't move."

She left, but as soon as she was gone, Frisk started walking to another room. I put a hand on their shoulder.

"Mo- Toriel told us to stay put."

They smiled, "It's fine. Come and explore with me."

I was curious about this place, and it seemed like Frisk wasn't changing their mind. I sighed, although I did need to protect them, and I wanted to explore this place as well.

So, I reluctantly (Heard that? RELUCTANTLY) followed Frisk.
