Y/N POV

My mother bowed down with grace. "Greetings, your highness. I had brought to you my daughter, who is waiting for her fate."

The king glanced at me. "I see, what's your name, child?"

"Y/N L/N, sir."

"Very well. Ms. L/N, we shall give you three afterlives that you would like to have," The king stroked his beard, "my wife would list them all to you."

The queen stood up. "Y/N L/N, choose one of the fates: 1. You shall live in this town as a citizen in heaven. 2. You shall go back down to Earth as a human. 3. You shall aid us by fixing problems throughout the universes. We'll grant any wish you'd like and answer your questions."

I raised my hand, signaling for her to pause. "Wait, did you say universes?"

She nodded. "Your universe is not the only one out there."

I sat down, deciding what I should do. I canceled option one. Living in heaven sounds tempting, but it's going to be boring as fuck. I also canceled option two, as it was a no-brainer, since I'll never go back again. That only leaves...

"Option 3," I said confidently.

The queen looked slightly surprised. "Well, that's a tricky one. Traveling through worlds isn't as simple as those novels that you read. You have to accept the dangers and just saying, it's a lot of work."

"I'm sure I want to do this," I said.

She nodded in acknowledgment. "Very well, what are your wishes?"

"I do not want to die again. I also want an assistant for background information of the world."

"Consider it done. Anything else?"

"No, ma'am."

"Off you go then." With a wave of her hand, the floor underneath me opened, and I fell down the deep hole.

Was this really the best idea? I don't know.
