Strange Life With Secrets and Lies

Chapter Seven

I sat between uncle Sebastian and One of my cousins as we watched the movie. I had 5 cousins in total. Daniel, Aiden, Elijah, Darius, and Liam

We ordered some Chinese food since we can't just eat sweets and junk food. I was getting tired and my uncle saw it because he wrapped his arms around me and I laid my head on his chest. Slowly falling asleep

"Is she asleep?" Uncle Raphael asked

"Yeah," Uncle Sebastian said

"We should go then," I heard uncle Raphael say.

"You could stay here," I heard Noah say

"Yeah no. We're going to our hotel," Daniel

I felt my uncle picking me up just as I heard him say, "We're going back to Italy Friday. We'll take her with us. She's not safe here anymore,"

"She's safer here. We looked after her and kept her safe since she was born," Owen said

"The car accident. It wasn't an accident he wanted them dead. I'm not risking leaving her here. She'll come with us and we'll keep her safe. I'll keep my daughter safe," uncle Sebastian said

"Sebastian her life is her. She believed that Mathews was her father. She's writing important tests that will give her a future away from our line of work," Owen said

"She is my niece and his daughter. We'll keep her safe and out of harm until we die. She'll have a future and she'll never find out what we do," Uncle Raphael said

I then heard the doors open and felt my uncle place me in someone else arms.

I opened my eyes slightly and saw it was my older cousin Daniel. He saw my eyes were open and smiled at me before kissing my head and whispering, "Sleep sorellina,"

I closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

When I woke up I was in a dark room. I got up and went to the door as I opened it Darius and Liam ran past me.

They stopped and looked at me before Darius grabbed my hand and dragged me down the stairs.

We entered the dining room and I saw everyone was already sitting down

"Did you sleep well?" Uncle Sebastian asked

"Yeah I did thanks for asking," I said and my cousin dragged me to the table and we sat down

"Good," he said

A man came into the room but he stopped when he saw me.

"Is this her?" The man asked

"Yes dad this is your granddaughter," uncle Raphael said

"You look so much like your mother," my grandfather said

"Thanks," I said with a small smile.

"Have you talked to her about Italy?" Another man came in

"No Phoenix we haven't," Uncle Chris said

"He's our other uncle," Darius whispered to me and I nodded my head before asking, "What about Italy?"

"Let's eat first then we can talk," Uncle Sabastian said glaring at uncle Phoenix

We ate our food in silence. Very uncomfortable silence. I looked up to see my grandfather looking at me. He smiled and asked, "So May tell us a bit about yourself,"

"There's nothing to tell," I said

"How old are you again?" Uncle Phoenix asked

"She turned 18 yesterday," Uncle Sebastian said
