Perfection is pain

Perfection is pain

Imperfection perfectly portrays the purpose of people.

Eyes, nose, mouth; they make us all the same.
But: Beauty, ugly, plain are all labels that reign

over perception and are what cause initial disdain,
but once you get to know them, their dignity can regain.

Yet if you'd have initially been one to remain

neural, you are someone who prevents pain.

People who think they are perfect are the most vain,
but those who accept themselves are the ones society chooses to drain.

The entire concept boggles the brain
of someone who's heart and mind twain

Prejudging is deign
And those that do,
their own dignity is what they have slain.
