Commotion
I received a call from Imari earlier this morning and she told me that we have gala daw today. Sa una nga tinatamad pa ako pero nung nalaman ko na manunuod kami ng racing, I feel like my blood rushed out from excitement!
Eh kaso ngayon, hindi ko alam kung paano ako magpapaalam kay Pierce.
Wait, bakit kailangan kong magpaalam sa sungit na yun? I'm not obliged, right? Sa bahay nga tumatakas lang ako tapos sa kaniya...
I keep on walking back and forth in my room while biting my nails. Until I impulsively decided to face him and ask.
"Pierce?"
Naglikha ng tunog ang tsinelas sa pagbaba ko sa hagdanan. I caught his attention, who's currently reading a pile of papers right now. Mukang seryoso siya sa ginagawa.
Malabo mata niya?
"Bagay sayo mag eyeglass." I commented.
He looked at me while fixing his eyeglass on the bridge of his nose, "You need something?"
Ibinaba niya ang hawak hawak na mga papel sa center table. I sat on the couch beside him and nervously smile. Tama ba 'tong ginagawa ko?
"Uh, hi?"
Pierce frowned while checking me out. He moved his brow giving me a judging look. I hardly tried not to show any awkwardness with my actions, but I guess I look like a bulate na hindi mapakali ngayon.
"H-hindi ka aalis t-today?" I asked. Agad akong lumunok dahil sa panginginig ng boses ko.
Mas lalong tumaas ang isang kilay niya pero kalaunan ay sumagot din naman, "Later, why?" he said.
Okay, later daw. Mga kelan kaya yun? Sana naman hindi sobrang late.
"I...I was just wondering. Kasi, uhm, I need to know dahil ako lang maiiwan dito mag-isa?" do I make sense?
"You're stuttering." he said suspiciously, "Tell me, what's the matter?" dugtong niya.
"Ha? S-stuttering who? Me?! No kaya!" kunwaring nagulat pa ako at pasimpleng umubo.
"Storm." he warned me giving emphasis on my name.
"Promise kasi!" pareho kaming nabigla sa pagtaas ng boses ko. I'm tensed okay! Parang anytime papagalitan ako ng isang tatay.
"Bakit defensive?" h-ha?!
Hininhinan ko na ang tono ko sa pagsasalita, "N-nagtatanong lang talaga ako so I'm informed." I raised my right hand.
"You don't want to be left alone?" he guessed.
"Sama ako sayo?" trying my luck but it didn't work.
"No." he said, "This job is not for you kaya hindi ka pwedeng sumama. Just do whatever you want inside this house. Uuwi naman ako mamaya."
"Kahit wag ka nang umuwi muna." bulong ko.
After that he eyed me for a minute, so I guess he heard what I whispered.
I shut my mouth because I don't want to say any words coming from my mind unconsciously.
"Tell me what you need so I can provide."
Nakaisip naman ako agad ng pag-asar sa kaniya. I saddened my facial expression and do puppy eyes.
