Chapter 104

"Okay."

Evania collected herself after a few minutes before the two of them continued towards Octavia's office. Octavia was seated behind her desk with Isirona and Aviri seated in front of her.

Isirona was wearing her usual purple suit with her legs crossed as she sat in the chair sipping from a tea cup. She glanced over at the two of them with a purple iris and a smirk.

Aviri was seated across from her wearing what looked like red flannel pajama's with a black hoodie that was two sizes too big. She looked like she had just woken up, though her expression was calm and collected, like she had actually been awake for a while.

Evania felt every nerve in her body ignite realizing that this was the first time she had ever personally been in the same room as Aviri Nightshade.

"Good morning girls." Octavia smiled.

"If I knew pajamas were acceptable clothing I would have worn mine..." Sylvia grinned.

"So nothing then?" Isirona noted.

"Nice." Aviri smirked.

Evania elbowed Sylvia getting her to wince before noticing that Octavia's eyes narrowed at the younger succubus.

"Honestly I don't know how you two talked me into letting her help run the school." Octavia grumbled.

"Wait... You two?" Sylvia paused.

"It was more of a group effort than just the two of us." Isirona noted.

A black vortex opened against the wall behind Octavia's desk getting Evania to flinch, only for Nyx and Akeno to step out where Akeno looked a bit disoriented.

"I really do hate it when you drag me through those." Akeno muttered.

"Devin hates it too." The hybrid grinned almost victoriously.

"I suppose we're right on time then?" Came Alice's voice.

Evania and Sylvia glanced over their shoulders as Alice and Sarah stepped in behind them before Alice closed the door.

"This looks like an interrogation." Sylvia noted. "I feel like I'm about to be eaten or something." Evania nodded in agreement, nervously stepping behind Sylvia as she felt all the eyes of some of the most powerful individuals on her.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this earlier, but I wanted to make sure you knew where everyone here stood." Octavia noted as she motioned towards everyone in the room as Nyx and Akeno moved to stand behind Octavia on either side of her. "As, these will be the faces of the people who are going to help you on the Board."

Before Evania could say anything, Sylvia spoke for her. "You say that like you're retiring sooner rather than later." The succubus noted. "Is everything okay?"

"I know I've only been the headmaster for just over two years, and I'll likely still be the headmaster for another twenty or thirty years or more, but as everyone keeps telling me, that time is going to go by quickly for all the immortal entities here." Octavia explained. "The kind of which my daughter is."

Evania moved to step out from behind Sylvia. "Just because I'm immortal doesn't mean-"

"I know now really isn't the time for it, but I know you're older than I thought." Octavia noted, getting Sylvia and Evania to flinch in shock. "I don't know exactly how much older, but I know there was a time difference between here and Exodious back then. For all I know you could be over a thousand." She shrugged.

"Two hundred." Evania answered. "Only two hundred."

"That's still a long time, and as Alice has told me, once you hit a few hundred is when time starts to move differently. I'm sure these years have seemed so quick for you, but they were so long for me."
