Common ingredients

🥚 Eggshells: The egg is a powerful symbol in many areas of paganism and witchcraft. In various belief systems, eggs are believed to be very absorbent of negativity, and therefore it is common to crush eggshells into a powder and use them as an ingredient in protection spells.

🍯 Honey: Honey is a natural sweetener, and was our ancestors' only rare source of glucose many centuries ago, so it is steeped in tradition and has lots of magickal associations. It is primarily used in manifestation & abundance spells (attracting something towards you) and "sweetening" spells; spells designed to coerce someone into treating you favourably.

🧴 Oil: this can be used in various ways in witchcraft. It is commonly mixed with fresh herbs or essential oils to make a magickal herbal infusion used for anointing candles, objects, and parts of the body. It can also be applied to the skin for medicinal purposes, or combined with beeswax to make a salve.

🧂 Salt: I'm sure you are aware by now the staple that salt is in witchcraft. Centuries ago it was used for preserving food by absorbing moisture and killing bacteria. In witchcraft it is used to absorb and remove negativity. It is a common ingredient in cleansing rituals and protection spells as a result. If you want to cleanse a tool of yours, you can leave it on a bed of salt for up to 3 days (just check beforehand that the salt won't damage your item).
You can use any kind of salt in your craft, even table salt. However, rock salt and sea salt are preferred because they're more natural. You can even use different kinds of salts to suit different purposes. For example, pink Himalayan rock salt is great in love and healing magick because of its colour energy; an ideal ingredient in self-love spells or a magickal, natural body scrub.

💧 Water: It's no surprise why water would be a common ingredient in witchcraft as it's so essential to life. Any kind of healing or cleansing magick calls for water. You can combine water with various ingredients or energies to enhance its properties.
Moon water - this is an incredibly popular way to infuse water with lunar energy, great for cleansing, protection, and anything that requires feminine energy. You can make it by leaving a jar of water in the moonlight for a few hours, or by simply asking a lunar goddess to bless the water (or both!).
Rainwater - natural rainwater has a wide range of uses including cleansing and purifying. You can also consider rainwater to have some cosmic properties from the day it fell to earth (since it was in the sky for a while). Say you collected the rainwater during Leo season, or during a Mercury retrograde, the rainwater would carry some of those properties (if you will it so). Rain collected during a thunderstorm is said to be more energetic and chaotic, and associated with confidence and motivation, so is an ideal ingredient in spells you want to happen quickly or strongly. Snow water is associated with purity, change, emotional protection, and is an ideal ingredient in slow-working spells. Finally, river water is great for moving on, letting go, or activation.
Saltwater - combine water with salt to enhance the cleansing properties of both ingredients. Ideal for aspersing around the room to cleanse a sacred space.
Herbal infusion - submerge some sprigs of herbs in the water over a few hours, or boil them. The end result is pleasant-smelling water that takes on the properties of the herb infused with it. This can be added to a spray bottle or floor wash to be used for cleansing, or as an ingredient in a spell. If the herb is safe to consume, you can make a herbal tea and drink it.
