-What if she says no?- asks the blond boy with a wistful look on his face.

-I'm sure he'll say yes- trying to calm him down.

-But...- he interrupts himself when he hears a car parked in the driveway.

-Go wash your hands for dinner and take our little friend with you- carefully handing the puppy to Oz.

You and Oz had gone out to the park and found an abandoned puppy crying in the rain, you had brought it home to take care of it, but you didn't know what Ally's reaction would be when she saw that you brought an animal into her house.

You hear the door open and you approach to greet your girlfriend, her clothes are a little wet from the rain but not so wet that you worry about her catching a cold.

-Hello love- you greet her, helping her out of her outdoor clothes.

-Hi honey, how did it go?- she asks looking at you with so much love and affection.

-We went out to the park and I didn't catch the rain- skipping the part about the little four-legged animal.

-What happened to Oz?- asks his mama bear inside.

-Don't worry, he took a hot bath and made hot chocolate- you see his features relax and he lets out a sigh.

-I don't know why I doubted you would know what to do- placing her hands on your hips.

Pulling you in to place a soft kiss on your lips, but that little peck isn't enough for you and you capture her lips surprising her by making her grip on your hips tighter, moaning in response and Ally smiling into the kiss. As she pulls away a big smile graces her features and you feel your cheeks heat up at her intense stare.

-Moooom!!!- Oz shouts down the stairs, throwing himself into his mother's arms.

-How's it going buddy- hugging him tightly, -how was your day?

The boy turns to look at you because of the little secret he has.

-What are you two up to?- your girlfriend asks, looking between the two of you.

-Nothing- you answer lightly.

-Oz?- looking at the boy with a questioning look.

-Mmm... I...- looking at you to save him from the situation.

-Can you set the table?- you ask giving the boy a way out.

The blond runs off to set the table, leaving you two alone, you feel the heavy look on your girlfriend's face and decide to ignore her by going to the kitchen.

You serve dinner and Ally keeps looking between you and Oz, trying to figure out what you two are up to, while your girlfriend helps you serve the ice cream for dessert, she asks Oz to go get the puppy.

-Remember we had talked about extending our family?- without thinking to look directly at her

-I do, why do you ask?- his voice sounds so soft he just hopes it stays that way since you tell him.

-Well, when we came back and were trying not to get wet, we found a little friend in the rain- pouring you some extra liquid chocolate, -so we brought him home- turning to face her.

At that moment Oz enters holding the puppy in a small blanket, he walks over to show him to his mother and you see Ally's look soften at the little dog.

-Can't we keep them?- he asks pouting at the brunette.

-A dog is a big responsibility- petting the animal's head.

-I know- he lowers his head in disappointment.

-He will stay, only if you promise to help take care of him.

As quickly as humanly possible Oz turns to look at Ally with a smile plastered on his face.

-Yes, I will, I'll take care of him along with T/n- hugging his mom and being careful with the animal.

After the small moment they moved to the living room to eat their ice cream somewhat watered down from waiting.

-T/n, could you bring some napkins- he asks looking at Oz with some ice cream on his nose.

When you come back you find the image of the puppy licking Oz's face, while Ally is trying to get him off her, a smile breaks out on your face seeing your little family; you reach into your pocket and feel the little velvet box, tonight you were planning to propose to Ally, but that could wait, for now you just want to enjoy the present.
