It's been two weeks since Riley was officially discharge from hospital. Beth and Marcus are working long and hard over this duet, but I can't help but notice something isn't right with it. I don't know what is going on but to say I'm keeping a close eye would be an understatement 

"What are you doing?" Riley laughed as she saw me lurking in the hallway, I was watching at Beth and Marcus went through the routine
"come here" I motioned making her furrow her brows before joining me completely 

She watched as Marcus lifted Beth and the look on Beth's face was not something of enjoyment
"Oh no" Riley whispered making my head snap at her
"oh no?" I asked
"He's sucking her in Hunt" She whispered again making me look at Beth with concern 

Lately, Beth has been more and more bearable to the point we've even hung up just the two of us on occasions. I didn't think I would ever say this but I'd care if something was to happen to her. Hell I would happily murder the boy now, he doesn't need to give me another fucking reason

"We need to pull her out" I said about to walk in
"no" Riley said pulling me back
"Riley are you fucking kidding! Do you not rememe-" I started before she cut me off
"Do I not remember where I was two weeks ago? I was there because people were catching on to what he was doing. If you spook him, he's not going to lessen his grip on Beth he'll tighten it to the point she has no over escape" Riley explained

"then it won't be me your visiting in hospital" she whispered before the pair of us turned to look at Beth and Marcus again

I guess with all the attention on Riley and her situation at hand, a lot of us are falling through the cracks. Beth being one of them..
The difference being, if we don't pull Beth out of this crack, she'll be fall harder and deeper into a black hole

Their practice came to end and we were all not in the common room, Riley was warning me not to say anything until Marcus was long gone but at the same time I can't just sit here and wait for him to make his next move. He was currently sat over in the corner with his small group of friends while we all sat here as a group but my mind won't leave the fact he's dragging yet another girl down with him 

"Can we go talk" I whispered to Beth so only she heard me, she turned to look at me a little confused before shrugging and nodding
"Well I'm beat" Beth said standing up and leaving not really giving anyone a chance to ask any questions 

After a couple more minutes I managed to excuse myself with out the suspicion although by the look on some of their faces, the suspicion was growing 

I walked out of the common room to see Beth leaning against the door to my dorm room, it tends to be the usual spot seeing as lately West will run off to Giselle's room, Riley with be with James, Eldon will be with Michelle leaving Beth and I to fend for ourselves

"So what's up?" She asked plopping herself down on my bed so her back was flush with the wall, I took a seat next to her before glancing over at her

"How are rehearsals going?" I asked trying to make the punch line not so obvious
"They are fine, the sooner it's over with the better" she said muttering the last part
"Why? What's happening?" I questioned
"calm down tiger, I'm not Riley. I don't need a protective big brother" she laughed making me roll my eyes

"I'm serious Beth I swear to god if he's done anything" I muttered making her look at me with a smirk on her face
"Oh you careeee, look at that" She teased ruffling my hair as I narrowed my eyes at her

"You know what, I might be over it now" I said making her laugh
"oh yeah? I'll just leave then yeah?" She said jumping off the bed as I followed instantly 
"Admit it" She smirked again looking up at me, I glared at her while a look of enjoyment fell onto her lips 
"I admit nothing" I said making Beth lick her lips as she nodded attempting to turn around again 

This time, I grabbed her wrist making her giggle as I spun her back around causing her to crash into me before she looked up at me with her usual baby blues.
She had her usual smirk on her lips. The one she knows makes her get her own way with in the blink of an eye

I groaned lightly watching as she tilted her head in suspense, I looked at her one more time before shaking my head
Using the free hand I had, I cupped her cheek before crashing our lips together making Beth smile into the kiss as her hand was placed on top of mine as it cupped her cheek

"Oh wow" A voice said making Beth and I pull apart, we turned to see West stood there a little stunned
"I didn't mean to interrupt" He chuckled grabbing his jacket and leaving again 

I turned back to Beth watching as she bit her lip lightly
"I care alright?" I asked making her chuckle
"see what that so hard" She asked poking my sides as I rolled my eyes throwing my arm around her
