Obikaka ( one shots )

New years

Konoha village is a festive area, team seven consisting of the following Minato, Rin, Obito, And Kakashi also
love holidays. New Years is a beautiful tradition in konoha but Obito is stressed about it.

"In 5 days, New Year's Eve will be coming to a close. When the timer hits 12:00 I'm doing it!" Obito
said determined.

"Or chicken out like you did last year" Rin commented.

"Hah!? I didn't chicken out!" Obito wined.

"You we're about to kiss Kakashi and you hesitated, you ended up hugging him!? Hugging him!" Rin
repeated herself in awe of Obitos massive mistake.

"I-I... whatever..." Obito said looking down.

"You gonna pull through this year?" Rin asked as she sat down on Obitos bed.

"Of course!" Obito said as he held up the team photo, staring at Kakashi in that photo was the
only way he could look at him for long until he became suspicious.

"Well good luck, cause I'm pretty sure it will be a hell of a good start to the year!" Rin said happily.
"Now, I need to help my parents and sister with the New Years decorations! We're really big about New Year"

"Yeah, have fun" Obito said smiling nervously.

"Good luck with Kakashi!" Rin said as she walked out.

"I'm gonna try and get close to him! Become his friend and kiss him for New Years! It's the perfect plan!"

*one day later*

"Four more days till new year" Kakashi said as he leaned back on the tree set behind him.

"I've decided you guys can have a New Years break, tomorrow you will start your break!" Minato
said excited "it will last for two weeks so don't miss me too much!"

"Aren't we spending New Years at your house sensei?" Rin said happily.

"What!" Obito exclaimed surprised.

"Yeah! We're spending it at Minato Senseis and Kushinas house!" Rin smiled "to celebrate our first year
as a team!"

"Great, I'm gonna kiss Kakashi in front of everyone... this is gonna be embarrassing"

"Are you excited for New Years Kakashi?" Rin asked

"I guess?" Kakashi said with his hands in his pockets.

"Me too!" Rin smiled.

"Alright, Kakashi I have a job for you while Obito and Rin take a mission" Minato said happily.

"Why does he get the cool jobs!" Obito pouted.

"Well.... It doesn't matter. Obito, Rin I need you two to deliver these envelopes and mail boxes
to these designated houses. Kakashi I need you to receive more packages at the mail post" Minato said
as he handed Obito a list of addresses.

"Yes sensei" all three said, Obito's voice a bit more disappointed.

Obito finished most the deliveries but one was assigned to a certain house that he got excited
about.

"Why is this assigned to Kakashi?.... He wouldn't mind if I took a little look~"

Obito leaned behind the house he was against and opened the package to see a box and a letter.
he took the letter and unfolded it.

I don't know what I did, I'm very sorry Kakashi. Please agree! I promise I'll give you
attention and training! If you agree I'll go with that favor! Love ya!

Obito looked at the final words, love ya. What was that supposed to mean? Did Kakashi have
a lover already. Before Obito knew it he had tears running down his face.

"Why didn't I just kiss him last year... maybe I could've had a chance" Obito sighed
and accepted the fact that Kakashi would never love him back.

Obito folded the letter and didn't bother looking at the box, he was way to sad to see
the lovey presents and hearts. He was in one word, heartbroken.

He made his way to the mail post and saw Kakashi waiting.

"Whats that?" He asked with a curious expression.

"Some gift for you..." Obito handed it a bit aggressively to Kakashi.

He didn't stick around to see how happy or lovey Kakashi would be with his 'girlfriends' presents.

Obito made his way to his sensei, he looked up at the tall Jonin with a look of 'I want to go home'.

"Fine, fine your dismissed Obito" Minato said smiling.

Obito should've felt relieved but he didn't, he didn't feel happy or sad or mad. He just felt
disappointed. Disappointed that he didn't make a move before it was too late.

Rin ran around the house with her adorable fiery red sweeter that had fireworks on it.

"Who's ready for New Years!" Rin said smiling.

"Not me" Kakashi said unamused "I've been stuck in last year for a long time, don't have the
energy to drag myself into another year" Kakashi shrugged.

Obito wanted to ask Kakashi about his relationship and he decided to talk to him
when they were alone since they were in their senseis and Kushinas home.

Kushina handed Rin a very small firework that would only make some sparks.
"Let's go outside to see the fireworks as we hear the countdown guys!" Kushina said
as she led the group to the front yard.

Obito grabbed Kakashi's arm and looked at him as he turned around "can we talk..?" He asked
sadly.

"Uh sure?" Kakashi said annoyed.

Obito led Kakashi to the backyard without anyone noticing. He stood in the soft grass, the silence
filled with the darkness and shadows around them.

"What is it Obito? You've been acting kinda distant.." Kakashi said as he grabbed Obitos
shoulder from behind.

"I-I..." Obito looked at Kakashi. "Who gave you that package?" Obito asked sadly.

"Huh? What package?" Kakashi asked raising an eyebrow.

"You know! The one I gave you three days ago!" Obito said desperately "do you have a relationship
or something?" Obito asked nervously, holding his heart.

"What!? No!" Kakashi said smiling "that package was from guy. He wants to fight me constantly and when
I told him to fu#$ off he got sad, I bet your wondering why he said love ya huh?"

"Mhm..." Obito nodded his head sadly but relieved that Kakashi wasn't in a relationship.

"Well, I hate to say it but he's my friend. Don't friends love each other?" Kakashi said confused.

Obito felt something inside him tell him to do something, he shook his head and looked
down. "I can't do it!" Than Rins voice filled Obitos head "your not gonna chicken out again like
you did last year are you?"

Obito clenched his fist as he looked back at Kakashi who was confused.

"Obito are you-" Kakashi was cut off by Obito grabbing his face in both his hands, pressing his
lips against Kakashi's through the mask.

Kakashi watched with wide eyes as Obito, nervously kissed him. "I couldn't do it
last year, I'm doing it now" Obito smiled sadly after just pulling apart.

Kakashi had wide eyes but soon relaxed into a smile, "I wanted to do that last year too" Kakashi
said as he pressed his lips, without the mask, on Obitos.

Obito quickly kissed back as he heard the distant fireworks near the front yard. His blush coursing
across his face the more time he spent on Kakashi's lips.
