**ANDY'S POV**
I woke up with a start and sat up in bed, panting as my eyes flitted quickly around the hotel room Ashley and I were staying in. I couldn't remember exactly what had woken me, but a sick feeling gripped my stomach now that I was awake. I couldn't quite place it, but I had an ominous feeling plaguing the back of my mind. Figuring it was my imagination, I decided I just needed to stretch my legs. When I looked next to me, I was surprised to find the space beside me empty. Glancing at the clock on the nightstand, I registered that it was close to 3 a.m. "Where could Ashley be going off to at this hour?" I muttered to myself, then threw the covers off me and stood. I pulled on my skinny jeans that were lying on the floor beside the bed, and a Batman shirt. I made sure I had our room key in my pocket, then padded barefoot out the door and into the hallway.
I didn't see Ashley in the hallway or the hotel lobby, so I figured he must be outside. Doing what, I had no idea. But I just had a bad feeling about this whole situation. As soon as I got outside, I pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one. I meandered down the sidewalk and let my thoughts drift until I picked up Ashley's sweet, familiar scent. I followed it, careful not to let the scent of my cigarette overpower it. Within a few minutes, it lead me to a dark alleyway. I paused, listening carefully to the sounds within. I could hear a single heartbeat racing. Ashley, being a vampire, didn't have a heartbeat, so I knew ti wasn't him. I peered into the alley, and was surprised to see not one, but two figures, cast in shadow deep enough for even my eyes to focus in on them. I could just see enough to know that it was a guy and a girl. The guy had the girl pressed up against the brick wall, and they were making out. I took a step into the alleyway, and my eyes adjusted. To my horror, I realized I recognized one of the figures. Ashley, making out with a bleach blonde girl.
I dropped my cigarette in shock. "ASHLEY!!" I screamed, causing the pair to break apart. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
Ashley turned and stared at me in horror. "A-Andy?" he stuttered. "Wha-what are you doing out here?"
"I woke up and you were gone, so I came out here to look for you!" I hissed.
"Ashley?" the blonde spoke up in an extremely annoying, high-pitched, nasally voice. "What's going on? Who's he?"
"He's nobody Erica," he assured her softly. "Just a friend. He's had a little too much to drink."
I snorted. "Yeah, I wish," I took a few steps closer and looked over the whore, Erica. She had bleach-blonde hair that went down to her mid-back, and was wearing an extremely short skirt, a ridiculously tight tube top, and black fishnets. You know, your classic whore.
"Andy, please, nothings going on here," Ashley said slowly.
"The fuck it's not! I saw what you were doing!"
"Please, just go back to the room."
"No! I can't believe you would do this to me Ashley! Again! You promised you wouldn't do this anymore!"
"Is that a ring?" Erica asked, squinting at my left hand. "It looks like an engagement ring."
I ignored her, narrowing my eyes at Ashley. "I should dump your sorry ass right here!" I yelled, steaming with rage.
Ashley's eyes widened, and his skin turned five shades paler. "A-Andy...no...." his voice was barely above a whisper. "Y-you wouldn't d-do that...."
"Oh, just like you wouldn't do this?" I motioned toward the whore.
Ashley glanced at Erica, who looked disgusted. "P-please, Andy," he stuttered. "I-I'll do anything."
"Eww! You guys are gay?!" she screeched.
"Anything, huh?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "Let me have this one."
He pushed the whore toward me. "Done."
I grabbed the girl by the shoulders and forced her neck to the side. Her scream cut off as I sank my fangs into her neck. I took my time drinking from her, careful not to get any blood on me. When she'd been drained dry, I let her fall to the ground at my feet and licked my fangs clean. Looking up, I saw Ashley was grinning at me. "What?"
"Have I ever told you how sexy you are when you're feeding?" he asked with a devilish smile.
I folded my arms over my chest and glared at him. "I'm still mad at you," I said, refusing to let myself melt at his smile like I normally did. "I told you not to hunt without me anymore. At least not while we're on vacation."
"Aww, come on baby," he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me against him. "I know how jealous you get when I work them up like that. I just didn't want to put you through that."
"I still don't know why you do that," I muttered as he began to kiss my neck.
Ashley laughed. "They always taste better when they're aroused."
"Oh they do, do they?"
"Yes, they do. You can't tell me that she didn't taste amazing."
"I still don't like it."
"Andy," Ashley laughed. "I didn't say you have to like it, but there's no reason to be jealous. You know you're the only one for me."
I sighed and looked down at the dead girl at my feet, nudging her with my shoe. "Where the hell do you find these girls, anyway?" I asked.
"Clubs," he replied. "Bars, whorehouses."
"You go to whorehouses?!" my head shot up and I glared at him as he laughed.
"That last one was a joke, Andy," he chuckled.
I frowned. "Ashy, don't mess with me like that! It's not fair!"
He didn't answer. He just kissed me passionately, effectively taking my mind off of anything but his lips on mine. "Why are you up this early anyway, baby?"
"I don't know," I replied. "I just woke up with this bad feeling..."
He pulled back and gave me a concerned look. "A bad feeling about what?"
"About the kids," I looked down. "I think we should go home, Ash."
"What? Why?" he asked, face falling in disappointment.
I sighed. "I just...I feel like we need to go home. To make sure the kids are okay."
"Baby, they're fine."
"But what if they aren't? What if they ran into trouble or something?"
"What kind of trouble could they possibly run into?"
"I don't know! I just think we should go back, to make sure they're okay."
Ashley shook his head. "Andy, baby, listen to me," he murmured softly. "The last time we were away from our kids this long, we'd been kidnapped. It's normal to feel anxious. But trust me when I say that everything is fine."
"But-" I began to protest, but he put a finger to my lips to silence me.
"Shh," he murmured. "Just trust me, babe. If you're worried, we can call them tomorrow. But it's late, and we should probably get out of here before someone comes looking for this girl."
I blew out a sigh, knowing he was right. "Alright," I said finally, taking the hand he offered me and following him out of the alley. "Let's go." But I still just couldn't shake the uneasy feeling I had in my gut.
