Chapter 14: The villainess' family

Start from the beginning

She was looking at grace.

"Oh, she's a temple's servant and she treated me well!" I responded to her.

Sabrina's brother noticed that the servant in Sabrina's back was trembling.

"Is that the reason why the servant was shaking?" He riposte.

I turned my face at my back.

"She's probably shaking because the wind outside feels cold right?"

"T-the breeze f-feels cold..." Grace answered.

"See? She's shaking because she's cold. Don't talk like I'm sort of a trouble maker brother."

"Fine, Fine." Her brother shrugs and smiles looking at her younger sister.

"I see, so our Sabrina has matured." Father interrupts.

"Yes. I'm matured because my step brother Helbert pushed me in the fountain wishing well."

They all looked shocked looking at him and my mother choked the tea she sip.

Cough!

Mother cough while looking at Helbert and her eyes were going bigger.

"Helbert! Are you the one who caused the accident of Sabrina?"

"I didn't do it intentionally."

Helbert lowered his voice and looked at the ground.

".....It was an accident."

Sabrina's biological brother, and father didn't react. For them, it was just a normal day with Sabrina making trouble.

"How dare you do that to my daughter!"

Mother raised her voice.

"How can you do that when we are the one who brought you out at the palace and even treated you well!"

Mother's shout can be heard 3 rooms away from us, and that makes my step brother Helbert to tremble more.

I can also feel Grace shaking with terror behind me.

"Calm down mother." Brother tries to soothe mother, "It's alright now, Sabrina has been treated."

Mother took a deep breath and calmed herself.

"I'm really okay mother."

After what I said, I glanced at Helbert who is at the back of my brother.

"Helbert of course needs to pay the price too!"

Helbert palpitates with anxiousness after he heard what I said.

Father sighs looking at us.

"We should have not brought him together with us.."

"Father." I moved closer to the table, and looked at my father as I held the teacup. "It's no use crying over a spilled milk dad."

"Inside of that is a tea and not a milk, sister." Said brother.

"You don't get what I mean brother." I replied to him with an annoyed face.

"HAHAHAH."

Brother cackles with laughter.

"My little sister's mouth became sharp after the accident."

"Thank you big brother." I said while I'm still holding the teacup

"That wasn't a compliment though." Brother added.

"Why don't you drink the tea sweety?"

Mother must have noticed me staring at the tea, but I don't like it.

The fragrance smells like the autumnal scent of a perfume which I don't like.

"Mother, I think I'll be going now."

"Oh right, you still need to recover." Mother answered.

I glance at my back and make a sign at Grace, then Grace moves my chair out of the table and I stand up.

I raised my right hand and lifted my dress then lowered my head.

"Then I bid the Countess couple and my brothers an adieu."

All of them kept their eyes on me as I got out of the room.
