"Hey there, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to Murtala Mohammed Airport, where the temperature is a scorching 50°C! It's definitely a hot one out there, so make sure to stay hydrated and cool.

Right now, it's 1:45 p.m., and we're excited to have you here with us. We know you're probably eager to get moving, but for your safety and comfort, please stay seated with your seat belt fastened until the Captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign. That's our signal that we've arrived at the gate and it's safe to move around. And guess what? You can finally use your cellular phones now! Feel free to catch up on all those calls and notifications. Just remember to put your phone on silent if you don't want the constant chiming.

Before you start exploring, take a moment to check around your seat and make sure you've got all your belongings. It's easy for things to shift around during the flight, so be cautious when opening those overhead bins. Safety first, right?

If you need any assistance with deplaning, no worries at all. Just hang tight in your seat until all the other passengers have deplaned. Our amazing crew members will be more than happy to help you out.

On behalf of Dorsa Airlines and the entire crew, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for choosing to fly with us today. We hope you have a fantastic stay wherever your journey takes you, and we can't wait to welcome you on board again soon. Safe travels and enjoy your time."

"Enjoy your stay," the air hostess said with a small, tired smile. I couldn't blame her, though. Smiling all the time can get pretty boring. So, I smiled back at her, trying to be friendly.

As I stepped off the plane, a rush of hot breeze hit my face, instantly making me feel like I had entered an inferno. Welcome to Nigeria, a country located just three feet away from hell, as some people say. And boy, they weren't kidding about the heat!

Coming from Australia, where the weather is usually much cooler, I felt like I was stepping into a whole new level of scorching temperatures. Lagos State, in particular, seemed to have its special brand of heat. The sun beat down relentlessly, shining brighter and hotter than ever. It felt like there was no escape from its fiery grasp.

I couldn't help but long for my trusty sunscreen. The urge to protect my face from the intense rays was strong, but I hesitated. I didn't want to draw attention or be seen as a weirdo. I mean, imagine someone walking to the airport, casually rubbing sunscreen on their face. It would definitely raise some eyebrows and invite judgment.
