Ryse watches the stars move left through the forward windows as the ship changes course.
80 EXT. LYTEON TOWN – DUSK
Xar rushes along the streets of the town gathering crystals from people as he goes. Xar stops in front of a house and speaks to the owner who is standing at the door.
EXUN KAR
Jovahn, the Jedi needs crystals.
JOVAHN
Tyree! Bring me our crystals.
A woman walks to the door and hands three glowing crystals to Xar. He looks at them and puts them in one of his sacks.
EXUN KAR
Thank you, Jovahn.
SEPHAS
Xar!
Xar turns to see his friend Sephas run up to him.
SEPHAS
I heard you seek crystals.
EXUN KAR
Yes. As many different ones as possible.
SEPHAS
Different?
EXUN KAR
Yes. Like when we tricked Halfos.
Sephas nods in understanding then takes the sack containing the crystals and rushes to the next house. Xar takes the other sack and rushes toward the town square where he begins to take the torches made of crystals and power couplings.
81 INT. WORKSHOP – SUNSET
Drake is cleaning a disassembled protosaber hilt as Xar and Sephas rush in with the crystals and power couplings.
EXUN KAR
Did we gather enough?
Drake watches as Xar and Sephas empty the contents of the two sacks onto a workbench.
DRAKE
I believe so. Very good.
EXUN KAR
How can we help?
Drake picks up a power coupling and shows them the size of the opening on one end.
DRAKE
When you tricked Halfos you had to
arrange the crystals a certain way.
EXUN KAR
Yes.
DRAKE
Can you make it hurt more?
Much more.
Xar and Sephas exchange nods.
EXUN KAR
Yes.
Drake hands Xar a power coupling then points to the open end.
