Before she could fully process the picture, Vanessa snatched the phone back with the widest grin "Over 2 million likes . Wow. It was barely 9 pm at the club but it was packed with late teens and young adults drunkenly vibing to the loud music. Vanessa bopped her head to the rhythm of the song as she and Sydney made their way past the crowd to the counter. "I didn't think people had the time to go clubbing on a Tuesday night,"Sydney shouted over the loud music as she tiredly flopped onto the tall chair by the counter. She didn't know if it was from the burger she'd eaten a couple of hours ago or not but she had this bad feeling in the pit of her stomach - something didn't feel right. She could tell that something was wrong..she just didn't know how, so she simply brushed off the bad feeling . It was only after a few minutes that Mark reappeared from the staff room with Rose by his side,"i got what you ordered",Mark winked playfully,"I'll go get the drinks,"then he walked away. "Hie girls," Rose said as she took off her apron "Hie,"the two spoke in unison. "What are y'all doing here . Don't you have work tomorrow," she pointed out like the mom figure she was "Well,"Vanessa shrugged,"in honour of Syd's contract signing ..we thought we'd celebrate..and led us here,"she explained . "So i guess the contract was okay,"Rose directed the question to Sydney who immediately nodded. "Yeah . Everything was fine," she smiled . "Well great then,"Rose spoke,taking off her apron,"my shift has just ended so let's party"she waved her hands in the air "Wait hol' up," Vanessa interrupted,"lemme take my shot first," she reached out a hand to Mark to handed her the gasses,"thank you,"she smiled at him then turned to Sydney to give her a glass,"toast!" Sydney brought the drink to her lips and gulped down half the drink and handed the glass to Rose who emptied it ,"Mark has a gift for shots," Rose ran her tongue over her lips in satisfaction,"shall we dance?" She reached out her hands to her best friends who gladly took her offer and joined her on the dance floor. "Oh my god i love this song!" As my eyes grazed over the dancing bodies , they quickly halted at a figure entering the club .From the way his chest was heaving up and down , i could tell he'd been in some sort of a hurry.My breath hitched and my heart nearly stopped once i had a clear side view of his face. He might have been covering up his face with a hoodie but i could recognize that heartbreaking dickhead anywhere. I couldn't let him see them here, not on my watch. I had to think of a plan , quick , before he found her .
3rd person's pov "Guys ," Rose tapped her friends' shoulders,"i think we should go home now" They simultaneously looked at her with boggled expressions "It's barely been an hour since we got here," Syd screamed over the noise after taking a look at her wrist watch. "Yeah,we still wanna have fun" Vanessa whined,"it's not even midnight" "I-i know i just think we should go ," Rose fiddled with her fingers glancing at several points around the club. "Is something wrong?" Vanessa questioned with a worried tone "Your face is pale...like really pale" Sydney squinted her eyes . "It's n-nothing . Let's go home," she stuttered , taking her friends by the wrists," i just really need to get out of her," "What's going on ," Sydney stopped in her tracks just as they got out of the door,pulling the hood over her head , it was heller cold outside,"what are you not telling us?" "I ..i umm" Rose bit her lip nervously , avoiding any means of eye contact, "You um what? Rose" V stared at her , confused. "let's just go home-" her statement was cut when the door swung open to reveal who Rose had been desperately trying to get away from. "Wait . I need to talk to you,"
Sydney's heart drops to her stomach as she immediately recognized his raspy deep voice.
