Thank you again for completing this story. This is my entry for the ONC and I'm so glad I finished it right before the deadline. I really hope you enjoyed it. 

THE VOWS

I think I had to make it clear in case I didn't execute it as well as I thought. The vows are secret contracts only Mephisto knows. They are revealed as context clues within the paragraph or the next. Cheers if you got it🤗

I also feel like I have the need to explain it to those who reached this far and did not get the chapter titles. As you can see how I call my readers cutiefries (cutiepies), I'm a sucker for puns. Sorry for the cringe lol

Whip it Up: an idiom that basically translates to "prepare very quickly"

A Missed-Steak: pun for "mistake"

Dill With It: pun for "deal"

That Hit The Spot: a phrase sometimes used when you're full after eating or feeling satisfied

What A Crepe: pun for "creep"

Pan Out Well: pun for "plan"

Yolklores and Fairykales: used it to replace "folklores" and "fairytales"

Don't Give A Frappe: pun for "fvck"

Flatter Than A Flatbread: a simile to compare something very flat

Hugs and Quiches: pun for "kisses"

Out of Thyme: pun for "time"

Spill the Beans: idiom that means revealing the secret

Knead A Contract: pun for "need"

Also, props to you if you manage to find all the words the chapter title refers to in every chapter. 

THE PROMPT

20: You manage a catering company. The latest request has a few... interesting menu items.

I really enjoyed the prompt since it's an interesting idea and I made it as a plot device(?) which helps the story begin or move along? I hope I incorporated it well. What do you think?

THE CHARACTERS

I was thinking that Lilith is actually the love interest at first and the one who will have to host the party but Mephisto has more compelling stories which does not correlate too much with any religious factions. I already have a story that deals with devils and angels and I don't want any more books to distort the bible just for the sake of fiction cause I'm already feeling like I've sinned too much lol

There are also mentions of several characters, I really don't consider them as minor characters but more like extras just to give a little shoutout to these memorable characters.

THE PLOT 

I started with a comedy in mind but I always ended up in some angsty dark drama between family lol

This is the first draft so as you can see, mistakes are loitering everywhere but I tried to tie the plot as much as possible. If you see some loopholes, let me know. 

I am also very fond of full-circle moments so I just had to apply it this time through the title just to keep everything tight for some reason.

THE THEME

I ventured into the theme of forgiveness because there are times that the concept of it bothers me. I salute people who can easily forgive those who mistake and I aspire to be one. But there's something about the fact that people who are dying and made mistakes have more leeway in asking forgiveness. It's as if their mistakes are lessened and the victims become guilty in the end.

I didn't want to forgive Richard easily. I always believe forgiveness is a choice. With that short time frame and dying, it doesn't mean that they are already free from all their faults so thus the conclusion.
