goodbye home

HI!! so we have another time skip and now it's august 1945
let's see who can guess why it's 1945😍
y'all gonna hate me for this one
warnings: death, burning, suicidal thoughts, blood, death of children

agni and phastos sat in Hiroshima peacefully, speaking about anything and nothing
Phastos was smiling like he always did with the company of his bestfriend
"you two seem quite at home" agni gasped, bouncing up

she met eyes with ajak
"ajak!" through everything that happened, she still saw ajak as a mother figure
she hugged the older girl
"it's been so long dear!" ajak said, holding her close
"it has" agni said, rubbing her back, it felt nice to see home after awhile
"another super hero!!" kenya yelled, running to ajak and hugging her leg
"hey ken" agni said, bending down and hugging her, she picked her up with a smile
"this is ajak, ajak this is kenya" kenya smiled "jak jak" kenya said, hugging ajak
"hi kenya!" ajak smiled
"ajak, how about we catch up?" phastos asked
agni and ajak nodded, as they set down kenya
"go on darling, we'll be back soon"
kenya ran off the other kids
"let's go to the main land, yeah?" so they did

fire was beautiful
to everyone but agni
sure, she used to believe her fire was the most beautiful thing on the planet
but agni never knew that it would cause so much distruction

many years ago, agni and phastos made an invention
they weren't going to show the world, but somehow, some way, when the eternals split all phastos' and agnis inventions spread
and the wrong peoples hands got to it

agni, phastos and ajak went to the mainland, just talking
"i know you left because of me" ajak said, as they say
agni smiled "its behind us now,
i knew someday i'd be led back to all of you, but i'm loving being here, and i don't think i'd ever love a place more than i do this place, the past is behind is ajak, i'm ready for what the future brings"

the ground shook
everyone knew about the war
it was never a secret
but the city of hiroshima never thought they would be in danger

but that cloud
that horrible, terrifying cloud
the shaking of the ground
"what was that?" phastos said
they locked eyes
fire
it wasn't beautiful, it wasn't blue, it wasn't purple
it was an evil, horrifying red
and that cloud was a horrible
terrible
grey

"phastos i've got it!" agni made the fire, pushing it towards him
"what is this agni?" agni smiled, showing an illusion with her fire
a mountain, blown into
"i call it the agni bomb, or atom bomb whatever you wanna call it" she smiled
phastos laughed
"what's it for?" phastos asked, loving the idea
"it's for landscaping, definitely"
ajak watched as the two of them made this invention together
and she knew then this invention would create chaos
when in the wrong hands
people would die

agni collapsed on the ground
the ashy, horrible smelling, fiery ground
she screamed
she screamed, touching the ground in disbelief
"how could he have done this?" she cried, the ash falling through her fingers
phastos stood next to her
their technology killed a whole city
"arishem did this to punish me" she said, standing up and walking around to see the damage
"he killed all these people because i left" she looked towards the ground
a dress
it was black with ash
then it clicked

"you look beautiful in that wedding dress Agni"
"i can't wait for the real thing"

agni let out a sob, that was her dress
her dress from the shop
the shop she burnt down
and suddenly she was back there
burning
burning
burning
burned

next to the dress lay a doll
burnt, and beat
but agni knew whose doll it was
"kenya" agni gasped, shooting up
"KENYA!" she yelled, throwing boards around
"KENYA! KENYA!" she searched, she searched and she searched
a hand fell on her shoulder
"agni, agni she's gone"

red
red was all agni could see
she burnt red
she was enflamed with red
"he killed, children" agni said,

she hated her fire more than anything
she felt
if she left, people would stop dying
but she didn't feel going to another part of the planet
she didn't want to be on this planet at all
"i'm a killer" she sobbed, falling onto the ground
everything was burnt
and she was burning it more

"i'm a killer, why did he make me like this" she sobbed into phastos' arms
her flames didn't hurt him
he wasn't scared
they would get through this together
she sobbed
not for herself
but for kenya
for the women
for the children
for the elderly
she cried for the people going through torture under arishem because of her
she cried
and she cried
and she cried

"agni," agni looked up
within all the death, was a bird
it was a messenger bird
the one she sent to brelione
agni staggered over, grabbing the note from the birds feet

my dear agni

i sense distruction coming, like you said
i feel burning
do you feel it too?
sometimes, i remember when kingo said he loved me
and i felt like you hated me
but you loved me,
i know you did
because we're sisters agni, if what you say about arishem is true
we're sisters, we were always family
but now we're sisters
and i know that no matter who loved who you'd always love me and i'd always love you
i'm with ikaris now, he told me you were going to die
but arishem doesn't work that way
he's going to hurt everyone we know and everyone we love
if we don't do something about it
i can feel he's going to do something horrid
agni i don't know what to do
i don't want to die
i don't want to die yet
i'm scared
please agni, we need to tell the people we love we love them before it's to late
find kingo
before arishem kills is all

agni wasn't ready
she wasn't ready to face kingo again
so she took a deep breath
telling phastos and ajak she needed to find a new home, away from everyone
where she isn't dangerous
or with someone who can control her
so she said her goodbyes and closed her eyes
agni thought long and hard about who to go to

she arrived in the forest, it was breezy, and beautiful
she'd been here before
many many years ago
it was the last place the eternals all gathered

hearing the childrens beautiful laughter made her think of kenya
her heart her for the children in the fire

"is that agni?" agni turned around
a man, whom she didn't know, spoke
but he had a familiar sparkle to his eyes
agni knew
"show yourself" she said, smiling as she heard doors open

"dear agni how long it's been" agni turned towards the voice and this time she knew the face
she ran as fast as she could, jumping in to hug the greatest friend she's ever known, he hugged back
and after all of the hurt she went through
she felt safe

this was a very very hard thing to go through in the dr
since i had emotional attachment to the town as a whole
i met many many wonderful people in this town
and i did indeed feel responsible, and it was heart wrenching
but druig really helped me get through it and i am so thankful for him
