Agni's story ~kingo

soulmates

soulmates
parts of one soul, spread apart out in the world destine to look for each other
because as one soul, to powerful they would be
any type of relationship could be a soulmate
and the thing with soulmates is
no matter who they are, and where in the world they land
they always find eachother

when the children in the village told agni about soulmates, she thought of two people

"ms agni, have you met your soulmate?" agni had thought on it for a moment
"is it possible to have two soulmates?" the children nodded
"then yes, i believe i have. but who really knows if they've found they're soulmates or not, sure you can feel it, but in my experience, and i have a lot of it," she said, giggling at the last part, tickling the children infront of her
she leaned back again, on her hands as they all sat on the floor in a circle

"feelings, lead you down the wrong path sometimes"

the children tilted their heads
"ms agni, tell us about your soulmates" a girl, her name was kenya, said
"well, the first one is a dear friend i've known along time" the face of brelione flashed into her mind
"she is a girl, who loves, she loves animals, she loves plants, she loves people, she loves everything and anything. she was the greatest friend i've ever had" as agni spoke, she made a small brelione in her hand out of her fire, brelione danced off agnis hand and onto the ground around the children
"and then, the second is a boy" she smiled, and kingo formed in her hand
"he loved to laugh, and to make people laugh, he was the funniest person i'd ever met, i really fell in love. i waited forever for him, and when he told me he loved me," the kingo illusion was on the ground now, and in agnis hand was two puzzle pieces
"i felt at whole" and the puzzle peices formed together
kenya and the other children giggled
"they sound so cool!!" they murmured

that night, agni lay in her bed, and she thought about everything the children said
i'm a way, she felt like all the eternals were soulmates
each a piece to a simple, yet still complicated puzzle
the puzzle formed a sunset in the forest

agni, kingo, thena, gilgamesh, and ikaris formed the sunset
while ajak, brelione, druig, phastos, sersi, and sprite form the forest
it was beautiful to think about
she couldn't just have one soulmate, though kingo was who she loved
she had a connection with each of the eternals differently
druig was the person she went to with all her problems and he was her best friend, aside from brelione
and when the three were together, it was dangerous
makkari was the person that agni would disappear with in the middle of the night.
thena was her mother
gilgamesh was her father
sersi was her shoulder to cry on
sprite was her laugh she so desperately needed
phastos was her idea partner, they built greatness together
and ajak was like a mother as well, it was just perfect

agni would sit around the fire place, telling the children stories of the great eternals
superhero's of the 1500s

eventually, after agni thought long and hard on the subject of soulmates. she slipped into a sleep

"agni," a voice called, it was distant, coming from the east
"agni" she followed in the direction of the voice, everything was a deep blue speckled in stars
was she home in olympia?
her memory of olympia was fuzzy
what did it look like? what was the food like? where there other people?
surely, if olympia was her home she would remember
"agni" the voice grew closer
"agni" it grew less distant, more like a voice
"agni," it was deep, and hoarse
it was right here
"who are you" her voice was small
the ground beneath her moved
and suddenly she was face to face with arishem
"arishem," she started and now she was scared
"agni, do you know why i put you on this planet?" agnis heart stopped
"put me on this planet?"
"i created you all for one reason," arishem spoke, and agni began to see things
she saw planet after planet
she saw the eternals, herself included, doing what they always do
but every planet, every time, it exploded
a celestial was born from it
and life was ended

she helped end so many lives
"what is this?" she asked
"many years ago, i created ten eternals"
ten? there were twelve eternals
"but one day, the deviants grew stronger, and so ajak and i decided to build two more, yourself, and your friend brelione" and just then, thousands of breliones and thousands of agnis were standing around her
"build.."
agni was frozen, she had to be a real person
"agni, you were made for two purposes" she shook in fear
"advance the population, and rid of the deviants, and those last few deviants you killed in japan, were the last" agni looked up
"will we go back to olympia?" that's when the last of agnis hope left her body
"olympia is not real, you are not real, you are a machine"

agni woke up out of breath, breathing heavily and shaking uncontrollably
her body burnt
she knew her fire was enveloping her body once again, she was overwhelmed with emotion
she sat up, and took deep breaths

"deep breaths agni"
she heard a voice in her head
but for once it wasn't her own
it was calming, and sent a chilled feeling through her body
"i'm right here"
it was kingo

kingo woke up immediately, his heart aches for some unknown reason
he took a deep breath, standing up
he walked slowly out for a glass of water
"brelione?" he asked, seeing her figure standing drinking a glass of water aswell
'nightmare' she signed
"was it about agni?" brelione froze in the middle of her drink of water and nodded slowly
kingo stood for a moment, and then the pain in his chest rose again
this time worse, causing him to collapse to the ground
brelione rushed to his side
kingo pulled his shirt off, the burning on his chest not only inside but outside aswell
a burn mark right over his heart

that night, in the middle of agnis nightmare, she got the same burn mark over her chest
like their souls were linked

like they were soulmates
