I woke up to an empty bed, Bodhi was nowhere to be found. I sat up and stretched my limbs, I heard laughter coming from outside so I wrapped my thin blanket around my bare body and walked over to the window. Bodhi was swimming around with a woman, a much older woman who I'm assuming is his mother.

Jesus, she's drop-dead gorgeous.

With her luxurious brown hair and slim body, her bright red two-piece bikini that complimented her skin tone, she doesn't even look like she gave birth to anyone. Kaz was married to her, yet he still glanced my way when he had a supermodel as an ex-wife. Even the way she was swimming was beautiful, that's so unfair because I'm an ugly swimmer.

I ripped my eyes off the window and walked to my closet, I grabbed my white bikini. I need to at least go introduce myself, she needs to know who her son is marrying. My bikini top had straps running across my stomach and around my neck, my bottoms were cheeky and showed all my great qualities. I washed my face and brushed my teeth before brushing my ginger hair allowing it to be its natural wavy self.

I added sunscreen to my face and very little mascara and lip balm, I grabbed my Dior sunglasses and pushed them up to my head.

This isn't a competition, Talitha.

The sun was beaming bright, my legs carried me outside. I was feeling pretty confident until I realized who was sitting in the corner, Kaz was shirtless with just his black swimming trucks on and the newspaper laying across his chest. His eyes trailed from the pool to mine, all the air in my lungs seemed to disappear.

I ripped my eyes off of him and focused them on Bodhi, he smiled when he saw me before swimming to the ladder where he climbed out. He grabbed my jaw softly before pressing his lips against mine, I kissed him back. We pulled apart and my eyes causally fluttered back to Kaz, his eyes were on the newspaper with a frown on his lips.

"This is Talitha, my fiancée." Bodhi introduced me, I didn't even notice when his mom got out of the pool.

I held my hand out with a charming smile, she gave me a bitter look while carefully touching my hand like I had some type of skin disease. "Audrey Rhodes." She said.

She kept her ex-husband's last name, that's not weird at all.

"She's certainly something." She smiled at her son.

Bodhi awkwardly chuckled, she's saying I'm not that pretty right?

"She's everything." Kaz speaks up, and my eyes whipped to his. He was staring at me and his ex-wife before his eyes fell on a very confused Bodhi.

"Everything our son wants."

Bodhi relaxed a bit, but my shoulders didn't stop tensing.

Audrey shrugs with a playful smile. "As long as my baby boy is happy." She pinches his cheeks, the disgust I felt by just hearing her voice.
