6: where it all glistened like the last snow

echoes of the snow

tears streaming down my face
fall to the ground with no sound
the eerie silence of the night
collides with my slow heartbeat.

endless dark street ahead of me
glistening with pure white snow
the contrast looks almost harmful
what's the worst that could happen?

been walking towards the exit
it feels like a whole eternity
heard that's where the light exists
but for how long should i hold on?

the tip of my fingers feel numb
from all this coldness and darkness
let me know if you're there at the end
cause if you aren't, i'll turn back now.

the more closer i'm reaching to you
the farther you drift away from me
just like how water slipping through my fingers
as i lay dead under the running shower.

just when i'm about to give up
when i'm about to crumble down
the thought of you brings warmth
which awakes me again and again.

i want to see the smile on your face,
reaching slowly up to your starry eyes
no medicine can cure me as you do
and no light can blind me as you do.

please stay right on that spot now,
at least until i reach there, i need you
as the night breaks into small hours
this fragile heart reaches for you.

please give me a chance to hold on
to your warm hands and glazing eyes
before you disappear once more
leaving me to grieve for an eternity.

the harsh rays of the brightest sun
begins to melt away the snow
taking one's own great time and i
start to drown in droplets of sweat.

the night fades away; the tears are back
as i take off into a sprint, reaching for you
time is running out; the sun's rising up
is it going to be a failure once again?

can't i ever touch your heart?
can't i ever look in your eyes?
can't i stay in your warm arms?
am i to suffer forever and ever?

i swear to god, with everything i have
i'll come back again, again and again
i'll come to get you and cherish you
till all the stars in the universe disappear.

someday we will collide
bathing in the moonlight
sinking in the feeling of love
breathing in the air of us
drowning in the warm cold
and i will never let you go.
