"Goodnight Logan!"

You peeked your head through the doorway of your living room.

"Sweet dreams, kid." He turned from his TV to look at you.

You smiled before leaving for your bedroom.

Climbing up the flight of stairs, you pushed open the door to your room.

You walked over to your bed and tucked yourself in.

Resting your head on your pillow, you were about to fall asleep when you heard the blaring noise of your ringtone.

'Who is it?"

You groaned before opening your eyes and reaching for your phone.

The screen read 'White suit lady.'

'Huh?' You thought before pressing the answer button.

"Hello ma'am..." You greeted in a tired voice.

"Listen, you." You heard congressman Yong Hwang's voice instead.

"Mr.Hwang?"

"I'm going to need you to listen carefully." His voice had an ounce of sadness in it.

"My daughter...is gone. Jinho Lee threw an explosive into her car. Don't attend the funeral, we don't want any suspicion to rise."

'What...? She's dead?' You were in disbelief.

"I thought it would be best to let you know, until next time." He said before ending the call.

You wanted to convince yourself this was a joke but the congressman doesn't seem like the type to make jokes.

Placing your phone back onto your nightstand, you slowly sank back into your bed.

You felt sorrowful but you also felt another emotion.

Rage.

'Jinho Lee...I fucking hate him. I'll kill him myself.' You gripped onto your pillow angrily.

But in the end, you couldn't help but cry.

You were so overwhelmed by stress from the current situation.

Sleeping well that night was impossible.

The next day, you got to the office and were greeted by Yeonu.

"Hi (Name)!" He looked up from his phone.

"Yeonu? Do you hang out here now?" You asked.

"I guess you could say that. We've been making plans recently and I prefer talking in person so I'm just here." The boy answered.

Yeonu stared at your face and noticed that you looked extremely tired.

You had dark circles under your eyes and seemed drained.

"(Name), are you okay?" He asked in concern.

As soon as he said that you felt tears fill your eyes.

You clenched your jaw as you tried desperately to hold in your tears.

You didn't want to cry in front of your friend but you couldn't keep it in.

Tears slid down your cheeks as you sobbed loudly.

'What happened?' Yeonu wondered what could've made you so upset.

The only thing that could be heard were your cries before he spoke up.

"Would you like to talk about it?" He asked.

You thought about his offer for a moment before nodding.

"You can sit next to me if you like." He patted the couch and smiled.

Silently, you made your way to the couch and sat next to Yeonu.

You stared at your hands which rested on your lap.

Opening your mouth, you wanted to speak but words refused to come out.

"There's no need to rush, take your time." He noticed.

After hearing this, you felt relieved.

You took a deep breath and gathered your thoughts before speaking.

"I...used to know this woman. She helped me and Hobin on trying to expose Jinho Lee. Me and her even went out to eat once..."

"S-she...died. Jinho Lee murdered her...!" You choked out.

Yeonu's mouth gaped open, he wasn't expecting what you said at all.

"I'm so sorry for your loss." He frowned.

"...Would you like a hug?" He added.

You looked up to the male, teary eyed.

He gently smiled at you, he understood you completely.

"Yes." You answered.

You wrapped your arms around his back and rested your face against his chest.

Yeonu held your back with one hand and placed the other on top of your head.

A wave of peacefulness washed over you as you felt yourself in his arms.

"Soon enough Jinho Lee won't be able to hurt anyone anymore, I won't let him." He told you.

"I won't let him either...I don't want anyone else to die." You shed one last tear.

It really hurt Yeonu to see you like this.

"If anything happens please tell me, I'll be there for you." He said.

You looked up at him and couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you, Yeonu." You wiped your tears away.

"Oh, let me get you something." He placed his hands on his side.

You pulled away from him and watched him reach for the box of tissues on the table in front of you two before handing it to you.

"Thank you." You said again.

You pulled out a tissue from the box and gently blew your nose.

"So what was this woman like?" Yeonu asked.

"Hmm...she was an interesting person. Was kinda mean at times to me and Hobin but was a really good person. When we went to eat together she opened up to me, I wonder if that meant she trusted me." You sighed as you leaned your back on the couch.

"Or she was just drunk." You chuckled.

"You're a great person, (Name). I'm sure she trusted you." He placed his hand on your shoulder caringly.

"I can't thank you enough." You looked back at him.

"There's no need to, I just care about you."
