You felt your eyes slowly open as you heard birds chirping outside.

Looking down, you saw Rumi peacefully sleeping on your chest.

Her eyes were still puffy from crying last night.

You stroked her hair gently as you smiled at her.

"(Name)? Good morning." Rumi woke up.

"I'm sorry for just falling asleep like that yesterday." You apologized.

"It's okay, you being with me last night was actually really comforting." She shyly smiled.

Rumi jumped off the bed and walked over to the kitchen.

She wrapped her white apron around her and tied her hair up.

"(Name), would you like some pancakes?" She asked.

"Sure, I'd love some." You answered.

You thought it was sweet that Rumi would serve you breakfast.

Jumping off her bed, your foot accidentally hit something roughly.

"Ouch!" You held the back of your foot in pain.

You looked over to see a pink box knocked over, it's contents spilling out.

A small square shaped sheet of paper which fell out of the box was next to your foot.

You turned over the paper to see it was a photo.

You guessed the little girl in the photo was Rumi.

She looked like she might've been six years old, her hair was tied into pigtails and she was wearing a colorful dress.

It looked like she was at a theme park of some sort.

Looking over to the other items that fell out of the box, you saw a photo album.

You opened the album curiously and saw many pictures of Rumi throughout the years.

As you flipped through the pages of the album a single photo stood out for you.

You and only you were in the picture.

In the photo you were wearing a leather jacket which made you guess that this was from the day Viral Hit called out The Comedy Crew.

The picture looked great, you were smiling and the lighting was just perfect.

You wondered why Rumi had took such a good picture of you.

"(Name) the pancakes are ready!" Rumi called from the kitchen.

You quickly closed the album and placed everything back into the box.

Standing back up, you walked over the kitchen and immediately smelled the sweet aroma of freshly baked pancakes.

You felt yourself drool as you saw the pancakes on the counter.

"I'm not too experienced at making pancakes from scratch so I used the instant mix type, I hope it's okay." Rumi said.

"It looks delicious, I'm sure it'll be fine."

You took the plate to Rumi's room where there was a table.

The fluffy pancakes had four layers and syrup pouring down it.

You used a knife to cut the pancake into a smaller size and ate it.

"It's really good!" You started to cut up more slices.

"That's a relief." Rumi stared at you.

That's when you realized something.

Where's Rumi's pancakes?

"Rumi aren't you hungry? Here have some of mine." You stabbed your fork into one of the pieces and raised it to Rumi's lips.

"Is it okay? It's your pancakes." Rumi held onto her stomach as it rumbled.

"Of course! You made them after all." You smiled.

Rumi bit off the pancake on the fork and chewed.

You slowly retracted the fork and went to cut up more pieces.

Rumi got up from her seat and opened up her drawer in her desk.

From inside, she grabbed a fresh sheet of paper and a pen.

"What's that for?" You chewed.

"I'm planning on streaming today so I need to plan on what I'm going to say." She explained.

Rumi started scribbling down sentences on the paper.

While she was doing so you also fed her some pancakes.

"I finished it!" Rumi held up the paper.

You grabbed your empty plate and went to clean it in the sink.

"I think I should go soon Rumi, call me if you need anything."

You placed the plate in the dish rack.

"Okay! See you soon." She waved.

You grabbed all your belongings before saying one last thing.

"Best of luck on your stream."

That night you impatiently waited as Rumi started her stream.

"Hi everyone! Rumi here!" She smiled at the camera.

[Wow she's actually streaming?]

[No shame???]

[Gross, can't believe I used to like her]

You frowned as you saw hundreds of hate comments flood the chat.

"I'm aware about the certain rumors that have been going around about me and I'm here to tell you that none of them are true." Rumi seemed a little nervous.

[I bet she's gonna lie]

[It's on sight if I see you in public]

You saw her pull out the familiar white paper from earlier that she wrote.

"My name really is Rumi Yeo and my parents weren't around...from an early...age." She started to tear up.

The tears in her eye blurred her vision, making it impossible to see what was on her paper.

"My relatives took me in but I knew I couldn't stay there forever so I moved out." She wiped her tears away.

"I even worked hard to save money"

You had no idea Rumi had a past like this.

Having no caring parents by your side, you felt like you could empathize with her on that.

Your parents didn't hate you but obviously didn't care enough to properly take care of you.

[Lmao she's crying]

[So who asked for your life story?]

[Fuck give me my donations back]

"That's it for today." Rumi smiled through her tears.

And the stream ended just like that.

You picked up your phone and argued with yourself if you should call Rumi or not.

"Does she want to be left alone or not? Probably want to be alone right?"

A few minutes later you tucked yourself into bed but wasn't able to go to sleep.

As you rested on your bed you heard a notification noise from your phone.

You reached for your phone and saw a text from Gaeul.

[Gaeul]

Sorry for texting you late, I've got a favor to ask you
