"Come on greenie, let's go for that chat" I said as I pulled Thomas by the wrist into my room, I heard Newt shout "remember my rule Thomas!" I guess he used the whole 'Newt's Special Rule' again.

I sat down crossed legged on the bed. "Tell me what your nightmare was like?" I ask Thomas, I need to know if he is the same as me. What if he blacks out too? I guess we won't know until he's faced with something. He explained to me everything that happened and as far as the drowning nightmare goes we pretty much match, maybe he should be a runner. But then I don't think I could bear to see him go through what I did. He must be what? Fifteen? I have to be at least seventeen by now if not older. If he ever does become a runner I will be running with him.

"Newt said no one has survived a night in the maze? That true?" He looked at me funny. "Come on the look on your face tells me your lying." He said. As if he immediately knew I was going to tell a lie. "Alright. Alby doesn't know I told you okay? Three of us have spent a night in the maze. I have survived three, Minho, two and Gally, one." Thomas looked at me in amazement. "What's so dangerous out there then?" He asked, to me nothing is because I'm not conscious long enough to feel fear. "They are called Grievers Thomas. They are a mixture of machine and flesh." I said remembering the horrible sight of seeing my first Griever. "Anyone killed one before?" He asks me making the same 'I know you're lying' face. "I have killed four." I said to him. His jaw hung open. "Why doesn't Alby want me to know that?" He asked. "Alby wants us all to be a family, and he needs us to follow rules and not have anyone thinking they know best and running off in the maze!" I said. Alby is the dad of the glade. He is lovely and strong and he wants the best for all of us.

"Hey! Come on Gally is starting his fighting thing he does!" Minho said poking his head in the door. "Come on Tommy!" I said pulling him with me.

As we make our way to the ring Gally is in there with James. I watch as Gally pushes James out of the circle and wins the round. "See aim is to push your opponent out of the ring!" I said drawing a circle with my finger. "Fancy giving me another go at beating you Y/N?" Gally says laughing. "Game on shank!" I said as I rolled up my sleeves and took my boots off. "Gally will kill her?!" Thomas said in the middle of Newt and Minho. I looked and saw them burst into laughter. Newt put his arm on tommy's shoulder, "no greenie. Watch!" Newt said. "She is our reigning champion!"
Minho said putting his hand on the other shoulder. I couldn't help but smile when they said that, I always felt proud of myself for being the strongest here, I know my strength is from torturing and serums but that's besides the point yah know?

"I'm feeling good today!" Gally taunts as we walk in a circle. "You said that last time I kicked your butt!" I said taunting him back. Gally ran at me and his arms were around my waist pushing me, my arms were on his and I pushed back, Gally was pretty strong but still no match for me, we pushed back and forth and finally he was out of the circle! "Greenie wins again!" I heard Alby shout. "Getting there Gally!" I said thinking at him.

"What about you greenie? You know the rules right?" Gally said pointing to Thomas. "Uh ok!" And from the crowd of boys there were chants " GREENIE! GREENIE! GREENIE!"
"My name is Thomas." He shouted scowling.

Gally won, he almost never loses except against me. I watched as some of the boys shake Thomas' hand because honestly he amid pretty damn well. I stood by myself for a while and watched the boys drink and eat even more.

That's when I was swept off my feet by Newt. I love it when he does that. He lifted me up and held onto my thighs whilst I wrapped my legs around him. I ran my hands through his hair and he smiled, he loves it when I do that. We kissed for what seemed like hours, he spun me around and kissed me again. "Calm down Newt!" I heard Alby shout and I felt about 20 eyes fixed on me. I couldn't help but laugh and I hugged Newt so I was as close to him as possible. "I love you." I said as I placed my forehead on his. "I love you too greenie!" He says back and sets me down gently.

"Alright guys! Let's turn it down for the night! Thomas your starting with the track-hoes tomorrow!" Everyone walked back to the homestead and got into their hammocks, I watched as Newt and Alby walked around to make sure everyone was there before shutting my door and getting into bed.
