38th BITE (final chapter of book 1)

Chapter 38 (part 1)

Burned logs, trees surrounding the recessed cove we had as shelter for the past days is down into ashes, and i am covered with hatred and misery as my palms has dried blood stains.

We were just having a good dinner, roasted duck on the center of the table Olivia prepared and fresh green salad Madonna harvested in her garden. Or so i thought.

Was it just a dream? Did i ever lived in this tragic place? Why do i have lucid dreams? They were as true as reality whenever i am in lucid interval.

"Ira..."

I failed to fake a sleep when he locked me within his arms. Nothing is wrong with my every day morning and it adds curiosity even more. They were as normal as i remembered it vividly.

"Goodmorning Romanov" i greeted my husband and he kissed me deeply. His usual routine.

A soft knock on our finely carved wooden door stopped my husband from getting me laid in this early morning.

"Yes?" i asked loudly so that the person behind the door can hear me.

"9 o'clock meeting with the Europeans" said by my secretary

"Again?" Romanov always complain with my European partners.

"I can't always be in my fangs, i gotta get the business run you know?"

My hair's tightly tied in a bun as my husband eyed my white loose polo tucked in my fitted black pencil skirt. Ibinaba nito ang hawak na kubyertos at nagpahid ng mga labi ng matanto ang taong kasunod kong pumasok sa dining room.

"Goodmorning po, lolo" he greeted as my grandfather sets himself in his suited dining chair.

I have a very fine living. I am a granddaughter of a very fine business tycoon and married a man who mirrors my life, also have fangs.

And my family lives a different life at night.

Kumakalansing ang mga susing bitbit ko habang palabas ng bahay. For a very known person, my family trained a prestige security from the night walkers. 

"You're going without saying goodbye to your husband?" pilyong sabi ni Romanov sakin.

"Goodbye kiss kamo!" i kidded as he pulled me and kissed me 

He entered my mouth with his tongue and sucked mine. His hands are roaming and teasing my bust. Nagpigil hininga ako nang may isang senaryong akong nakita sa pagpikit ng mga mata ko. It felt almost true, naramdaman ko ang lamig ng hangin mula sa binata habang nakapatong ako sa isang lalaking hindi ko kilala. I felt his warm hands on my breast, i felt his kisses on my bare shoulder. I felt it all like it really happened.

"What's wrong?" Romanov concernedly asked while supporting me. Nanghina ang mga tuhod ko and i am only seeing light.

Blinding light.
