They hadn't been flying for more than a few hours. Grian knew that, even though it was well past midday.

But his back was really starting to hurt from being in such an uncomfortable position for so long.

Just as Grian thought that, the three winged old ladies glided down toward a bus that cruised through the city.

"They're in there," the one carrying Ren hissed. "The one we were sent to find."

Ren didn't respond. Grian realized he had somehow fallen asleep.

Grian realized that "the one they were sent to find" was Percy. This was going to be bad.

"What do we do with them?" The one holding Grian said, adjusting her grip on his sweater.

Grian had long since stopped struggling, for fear that his sweater would rip and (a) he would lose it, and (b) he would fall to his death. Both would be bad.

The one that had originally appeared thought for a moment. "Megaera, take both of them into that area near the emporium. Tisiphone, you come with me."

Ren was jarred awake as he was passed to Grian's monster. He realized where they were, started to yell, then stopped as the monsters hissed at him. For once, both Ren and Grian didn't dare speak.

"But I want to kill things," the monster that now held both of them grumbled. Then she started gliding towards the edge of the city. The last Grian saw of the other two demon grandmas (he had an experience with a different type of grandma. It was almost as terrifying as this) was their wings shrinking, eyes fading to normal, and claws dissolving before they and the bus that Percy Jackson was on disappeared  behind a building.

They flew over the city and eventually passed into a more rural area. Grian wasn't anywhere near afraid of heights, but this was getting a little bit scary. What if the monster slipped? Or got tired of holding them? What if she decided they weren't worth the effort?

Grian closed his eyes. The rush of adrenaline from his original capture was fading, and he was tired. He had barely slept last night. Back in Hermitcraft, he was fine not sleeping, because Bdubs was always there. But now that he was in another world where the rules were different (trees fell, how weird was that?), he got extremely tired if he missed even one night of sleep, and even sometimes during the day, as if his body wanted to make up for all the sleep he had lost throughout his life.

Grian felt himself slipping away, and before he knew it, he was asleep.

In a monster's claws.

Like several hundred feet in the air.

Nice.

Grian dreamed about a skeleton and a god.

The god paced through a room that was decorated with what seemed like darker calcite and bronze. Grian only knew what bronze was because his sword that he had stupidly dropped was made of it.

A tall figure dressed in black robes paced the room while a skeleton dude wearing ghostly diamond armor trotted behind him.

The skeleton spoke, but only a chattering sound came out. Somehow, Grian understood in his head.

Sir, the Furies say they have two of them.

"But if somebody else learns the secret to a respawnable world, people will stop coming in," the god growled.

But Lord Hades, you've said constantly that there's too much traffic here.

"I know," Hades growled. "But we can't have another Sisyphus. Or seven billion. And we do have bigger problems to deal with than a bunch of runaways. My helm is still missing."

We could always send more monsters to this world they speak of, the skeleton warrior suggested.

"Yes. But they know how to fight."

Or an army of spirits. There's already many undead in their world, including one of their own.

"You're on to something," Hades said, and then the dream faded.

Grian awoke with a jolt as he was shoved by Ren. "Dude, wake up."

Grian looked at the son of Ares with a terrified expression.

They were tied to a tree. That monster, who Hades had called a Fury, was nowhere to be seen. Grian had no idea where they were, or how to get back to Camp Half-Blood if they did escape.

One thing was for certain, though.

Hermitcraft was going to be attacked.
