He didn't just use his words you know. Some days he'd be so, so angry. He'd yell, he'd clench his fists. Every time he'd raise them, I thought for sure he'd hit me.
He never did. Maybe that's why I dismiss what I feel. I always dismiss it with the same few excuses.
Excuse 1: At least he didn't hit me.
Excuse 2: I'm probably just making this up.
Excuse 3: He could never hurt me like I hurt him.Don't be like me. Don't dismiss it. By the time you take yourself seriously, it may be too late.
