The cab had finally pulled over to my destination and entered the restaurant. I was met by Mseki before I could even get into my office he hurriedly walked over to me "Bhuti." (Brother) he said , "Bafo." (Brother) I replied. In our case we never greet each other, this was our way of acknowledging each others' presence.

"We're out of stock and someone had booked this place for their birthday today and we don't have meat to braai but we've already started grilling pork ribs. The party starts at 10 a.m" he said while wiping his hands on his apron that I hadn't noticed he was wearing."So you're telling me what to do now?" I slowly asked as if tasting every word I had just said and for some reason I hated the fact that my younger brother just told me what to do but at this point I knew I had no option because you could clearly see that he was busy. "Where's my car ?" I asked, for some reason I knew it was with him."Check the parking lot "he replied as if stating the obvious, he patted his pockets looking for mycar keys I assumed , when he was about to pull them out of his pocket I gave him a death glare for wanting to touch my car keys with those dirty hands he took a deep sigh and let me take them myself from his right pocket. I glared at him as I did so he gave a questioning look as to why I looked like I wanted to strangle him " This looks gay." I stated answering his question. He just chuckled and went on with whatever it was he was doing. I went to my BMW which had a Gucci heel and a bra at the back seat. I made a mental note to strangle Mseki when I see him.

I went to the nearest grocery store and bought 10kg's of lamb chops, 10 kg's of beef and 5 kg's of boerwors. I bought marinade as well.

I hate how everyone was taking a glance at me then my shopping cart. I was waiting in the que when I heard a random lady standing in front of me along with her friend. The one the left who was a bit thin said "The problem with you is that you think every interaction with a man is a relationship. You can friends with benefits or just a one night stand...." She explained and then carried on to say she should try it but her friend refused I then chose to jump in and greeted the lady who was explaining one of the most important rules of life.

"Hi, what's your name." She asked while flashing a smile, she was rather too excited for my liking but there's nothing I can't handle. "Nkosana Mdletshe, yours ?". I stepped closer and she stepped even closer, now we were about 30cm away from each other. "Khetho, Khethokuhle in full." She looked away as she was embarrassed about the fact that she was blushing for a guy she just met 3 minutes ago. This whole time I hadn't worn any expression, I just stood there with a blank expression.

"You have a beautiful name, may I have your number? "I said with the sides of my lips twitching. She hurriedly took her phone out as if I'd run away any second. We exchanged numbers.

This whole time her friend hadn't bothered to turn around or greet. The payed for what they were buying and left. I then went to the till and payed for my stuff as well but Khetho was still standing next to me.

I then resulted to ignoring her because honestly she looked annoying just by talking to her for a few minutes. I unloaded my stuff into my car and started the engine and left.

When I got to the restaurant Mseki was waiting impatiently for me by the entrance and looked slightly irritation but tried his best to hide knowing that it would piss me off.

"Where were you and what took you so long? "He asked in a voice calm but cold at the same time. I gave him a death glare before I said "How is that any of your concern, I'm here now aren't I ?" I wanted to piss him off more than he is now. After I said that his face hardened, he look right into my eyes but before he could say anything and cause a scene "First of all Mseki do not look at me like that I'm not your friend and I do not need to explain myself to you. Are we understood ?" I said in stern but calm voice making sure not to raise my voice "okay." He replied in a blunt tone as if not wanting to debate any longer. He left immediately after and we hadn't crossed paths the whole day and as for me, I spent the whole day in my office
