I grunted as I hit another pull up. I've been in the gym for about an hour now. Everyday I work to get my strength back.
I spent two weeks in the hospital and one week in bed in New York before my parents thought it would be best that I finish my rehab in California. My mom wanted to watch me. I think she afraid I'm gonna get sick again.
I heard movement while I was doing a pull up and looked as I hopped down.
"Devon, it's six in the morning." My mom said dryly.
"I know and you just coming out the studio." I said as I went over to the dumb bells. "At least the sun is out."
"Don't worry about what I'm doing." She said. "How you feeling?"
"Okay." I said shrugging. "I think imma take a swim."
"Do not over do it." She said.
"I'm not Ma it's just. I was stuck in a bed for almost a month feeling worse than I've ever felt in my life. Now I feel better and I wanna stay that way." I said looking at her.
