I was rudely awakened by Minho. "Wake up greenie." He shouted at me. I pushed his hand away and turned over on my bed so my back was facing him. "Go away." I said sternly. I had been awake that night from a drowning nightmare and to be honest I didn't want get up when I had to yet alone an hour early. "Get up or I will kiss you...I will, I mean it!" He says and he lays next to you tucking his legs to fit with yours. "Why I still have an hour shank!" I say brushing his arm away from over my waist. I know exactly what he's doing. "I'm bored greenie! Let's go for a run around the glade!" He says in my ear. I think again and decide that I could do with a run to wake myself up a bit before breakfast and get that nightmare out of my head. "Argh. Alright move!" I say pushing him off the bed, he falls to the floor with a loud thud. I can't help but laugh, I enjoy watching Minho's accidents, he has quite a few of them in the glade but never in the maze which maybe is a way of him trying to make me laugh? I dunno but I'm glad he doesn't mess up in the maze.

I put my boots on and put my over shirt on rolling up the sleeves, I grab my pack and machete and attach them to me. I look down at the scar on my leg, it never disappeared. The long diagonal one is still there too and the one on my shoulder. They don't cause me pain anymore, some of the greenies ask how I got them I just say an accident in the maze and they don't ask anymore which I am grateful for.

I walk out my door and weave my way carefully between the sleeping boys in their hammocks trying not to wake any of them. Once outside Minho is stood there with his arms crossed. "Tell you what green bean!" Minho says walking over to you."I'll race you once around the glade." He continues. "You know I'll win right? I always win Min!" I say confidently, and I'm not tooting my own horn here, I legitimately always win races against him. "Not today shank!" He says kissing my cheek. His lips are cool against my warm cheek, it feels soothing. "Alright." We both run to a far corner of the glade. "First one back wins. GO!" He shouts and you take off running in different directions around the glade. I am so confident, I don't really need to try. I make it back before Minho reaches the third corner, he knew he lost when he saw me pass him. "Dammit greenie!" He says as he makes it back. He hunches over and breathes deeply. I can't help but laugh, he was seriously confident this time. "I thought I had it there too!" He says standing up.

He pushes me backwards into the wall, very gently so I don't hurt myself. I meet his gaze, I have gotten taller over these three years but so has Minho. He still towers above me. I still go weak at the knees when his entire muscular frame encases me in a corner. He is intimidating and I love it. I put my arms around his waist, "still can't resist me huh greenie?" He whispers in my ear, it tickles and I shiver. I am a strong person and everyone knows it, but Minho is my kryptonite. Yah know which kind of sucks seeing as he always around, I feel so helpless around him, but I can't help it!
"No I can't, you need to stop taking advantage" I say to him biting my bottom lip. "Nope! It's fair game greenie! I love you, I want you! I will take any chance I can get!" He pushes himself closer against me and a little moan escapes my mouth as he runs his fingers up my arm.

"BREAKFAST!" I hear Frypan shout as he always does. I take my chance and duck under Minho's arm "gonna have to try harder than that!" I shout as I run trying not to show Minho that was close to caving.

Frypan saves the day again. Minho is close behind me as I grab some food from Frypan and sit next to Newt. I kiss him on the cheek and the corner is his mouth curves as Minho sits down opposite. "Where have you been greenie?" Newt asks wrapping an arm around my waist "me and Minho went for a run, I had a nightmare and I needed to clear my head." I say hugging him. "You win?" Newt says looking over to a disgruntled Minho. "Don't I always!" I say proudly giving him a quick kiss on the lips before tucking in to breakfast. Dang Frypan's food is amazing!!

After breakfast Minho and I walked over to the maze doors and waited for them to open. "Which section?" He asks clicking his neck. "Let's take the one with the letter P" I say.

You see over these three years the maze has changed. In certain parts there are letters, we have written them down but can't figure out what they mean. We have also written down the patterns in which the maze changes. We are close to cracking it I can feel it.

As the doors start to open Minho taps my back "let's go!" And he takes of running and I follow suit behind him.

NEWT'S POV

I hate watching her go into the maze. I know she is safe with Minho, he'd rather die than come back without her, but I always worry, I know what's out there. Today is the day we are supposed to have a new greenie. But I can't think of anything only the safety of her. "She'll be okay Newt! She always is!" a voice from behind me say, I know exactly who it is. Gally. "I know man but I can't help it!" I say in return. "Yeah I get it, shouldn't you be starting work anyway?" He replies. I nod and stroll to the garden. "Hey Zart! Go tell Alby to get me when the new greenie arrives okay?" And Zart nods at me a runs to council hall, that's where Alby normally is this early in the morning.

Readers POV

"Hey isn't it new greenie day?!" I say to Minho as we turn a corner. "Oh yeah!" Minho smiles. "I hope he's nice!" I say smirking at Minho. He stops and lifts me up. "what the shuck are you doing?!" I say gently punching his shoulders to get him to put me down. "Am I not nice enough for you?!" He pushes me against a wall and places his forehead on mine. I don't want to want to kiss him, but oh god I do! Like I said earlier....helpless!

"Cmon greenie, I haven't had a kiss in a while!" He pleas. I giggle and kiss him gently on the lips. He seems disappointed that I didn't kiss him longer "come on we got some running to do shank!" I say and he puts me down and we continue to run.

Newt's POV

I work in the gardens pruning for a few hours, I find gardening relaxing, it takes my mind off of her in the maze. When the bell rings for lunch i get up and washed my hands in sink.

"What's up Newt?" Frypan said with a cheery look on his face. I didn't even reply and he knew exactly what was wrong. "Hey! Look don't worry. Y/N is a fighter! And Minho is with her! She will come back! She always does." He said handing me a dish of food.

I sat there with Gally and Chuck eating in silence, Gally was talking to chuck about upgrading the tower to make it taller. I was really paying attention. That's when we heard the noise of the box rising it of the ground.

"Well new greenie time!!" Gally said as I stood up and walked over to the box. "I'll go shall I?" Gally asked knowing I wasn't in the best of moods. Normally it doesn't get to me this much but today is different. Eh good days and bad days I guess.

The box came to a stop and Gally opened the lid. Inside was a boy, he had dark brown hair, and very big eyes, he was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt, jeans and boots. He looked so scared, but then every greenie does when we open the box. Gally jumped it and hauled him out. "Day one greenie! Rise and shine!"

The boy jumped to his feet and ran. "Looks like got a runner!" Zart shouted after him. He was fast! Really fast. I almost thought he could genuinely make it as a runner! Then he face planted the floor. I have never laughed so much.

Some of the boys lifted him up and put him in the pit to calm down as we didn't want him running in the maze out of fear.

I walked to the pit with Alby "hey! You aren't going to run okay?" Alby said as he opened the pit door. "My name is Alby, and this is Newt." I held up a hand to help him up. "Can you remember anything about yourself?" Alby asks him. He stands in silence for a while.

"Thomas. My name is Thomas."
